Two and a half years after it was supposed to be installed, and nearly a year after it actually arrived at the stadium, Enyimba have their new pitch.

Enyimba's next home game is a CAF Confederation Cup match on Jul 17th. enyimba.jpeg

Actually very professional looking... long overdue as well. Nigeria really has to get it's national league in order if they ever want to compete in the World Cup. Countries like Iceland aren't going to stop improving and we have stagnated along with other nations for too long. It's becoming a chore to watch World Cups these days as other countries see improvements that we're not seeing. It's time to start running the league like a business and less as a chore that they begrudgingly keep up because they're supposed to have a league. Done right, the league could be an asset and point of pride. Still many renovations to be done in that stadium, but a serviceable pitch and lighting are two essential first steps...

Looks like they may be removing the running track too maybe...

The pitch? If they expanded it into what used to be a running track then it would be a huge playing surface.
