Buckley-Ricketts looks like he's going to FC Twente on loan for the season. Kinda surprised City didn't just send him to NAC Breda for the season.

At this rate we're gonna end up with an English kid on all the Eredivisie sides bar the big three.

Ajax were linked with Borthwick-Jackson, though dunno how serious that was.

City had Bersant Celina at Twente last year so a relationship seems to be building up there as well as their one with Breda

Neither Colkett or Mount started for Vitesse today in the Dutch Super Cup.

Perhaps unsurprising that they haven't gone straight into the team. They're both making big steps up from their previous experiences.

The club may have seen it as an opportunity to give a pat on the back to players who were actually involved in the cup win last season. The first league game will be a better barometer of where they stand.

Bruns started ahead of Colkett in midfield and he's a new signing so it's nothing to do with that. Mount and Miazga have only been there less than a fortnight so are behind in their pre-season work; Miazga was there last season too but spent July at the Gold Cup so needs a break. Colkett has played well in pre-season but against the defending champions, in their home stadium and with 95% of tickets sold to them, it wasn't the right game to play all of the Chelsea kids at the same time.

They play NAC Breda in the league opener, which could see Dabo, Colkett and Mount (plus Ali) vs Man City's five non-English loanees there (plus Horsfield).

Didn't see this one coming but fair enough. I wonder if Leicester have an arrangement with them?

    Same owners.....

King Power bought them in the summer.

Will probably see a couple more go over as well. Not sure sending young English lads to the birthplace of Stella is a good idea though.

I know there has been a big drive to get our players moving abroad but seems like we're trying to spread our wings to all corners of the World.

Sancho has moved to Dortmund and has been given the #7 shirt. Amazing opportunity for him.

This is a lovely detail. Perhaps they don't take shirt numbers too seriously over there but to me it suggests that they rate him very highly indeed.
