Another one to add to the growing list of players moving abroad, Holland seems a popular destination. George Dobson has moved to Sparta Rotterdam. http://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2017/july/16-july/george-dobson-leaves-club-sparta-rotterdam
Updated list. Young English and previously capped players abroad for next season so far are (club/current eligability): Permanent: Mandela Egbo (Gladbach/U21), Jordan Rossiter (Rangers/U21), Danny Collinge (Stuttgart/U20), Chris Willock (Benfica/U20), Kaylen Hinds (Wolfsburg/U20), Dan Crowley (Willem II/U21), Muktar Ali (Vitesse/U21) Loans: Reece Oxford (Gladbach/U20), Charlie Colkett (Vitesse/U21), Ashley Smith-Brown (Hearts/U21) Dobson isn't on the list due to no international caps, but he's another part of what is a positive looking picture.
Jordan Brown, once of Arsenal, West Ham and England U16s, is at Hannover. Fankaty Dabo is on loan at Vitesse too (capped up to U20).
For my list I'm using caps at U17 or above and players being 96 born or younger as the criteria. I was in two minds about including 95s like Dabo, because it might give a fairer picture with the U21s being a two year cycle, but I'm leaning towards just tracking U21 eligible players.
I think that would actually include Brown. Born in '96 and he played a few games for the under-17s in the summer of 2012.
Sorry, I take that back - for some reason Wikipedia has 7 under-17 caps ascribed to Brown, but it actually looks to me like he was only ever on standby.
Wonder if the success of English youth sides this summer has suddenly made english youngsters fashionable on the continent?
Fingers are crossed for him. Be great to see an Englishman be successful abroad, particularly a defender.pic.twitter.com/x9kB5OYSKr— Jonathan Harding (@JonBloggs66) July 20, 2017
He seems very nervous, probably not used to journalists who actually want to know about the game rather than the soap opera that surrounds it.
Quite liked him finishing with "ciao" after being asked if he knew any German words. Probably not a deliberate joke, but still... He's been given the number 3 shirt, by the way. Hopefully an encouraging sign with respect to his prospects as a starter.
He's not a player but English manager Graham Potter has just knocked out Galatasaray on a small budget with Swedish team Östersunds FK. They play some very good football. First goal in the first leg - 886570403312828416 is not a valid tweet id

Just to confirm what @feyenoordsoccerfan said on another thread, permanent move for Horsfield. NAC neemt James Horsfield definitief over van @ManCity. Hij tekent een contract voor drie seizoenen. #NACpraat👉 https://t.co/5MDPPoN6ek pic.twitter.com/D3n4QYx7ji— NAC Breda 💛🖤 (@NACnl) July 24, 2017
Interesting that Horsfield - the least highly rated of the Man City trio loaned to NAC - ended up the only one with a place in the starting eleven for them by the end of the season.
http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/40718383 A profile of Jamie Hopcutt at Ostersund: he was released by York a few years ago, now he scored against Galatasaray, also "has six goals this term, and Aston Villa and Brighton are reportedly preparing bids in the region of £1.5m."
