That's a very capable squad, think they've got a very strong chance of winning it.

Yeah our best overall squad that has probably ever gone to a tournament. Albeit we don't have a player of the calibre of Kelly Smith.

Think Houghton is as good a defender as Smith ever was an attacking player, but get your point, that creativity in the final third will need to come from Kirby or maybe Christiansen, both of whom are really gifted. Surprised Gilly Flaherty doesn't get a lot more appreciation, she's one of the better dribblers/ball carriers in the WSL.

Still surprised how Beth Mead keeps getting overlooked. She's scored 77 goals in her 78 caps for Sunderland and is now at Arsenal. She's very quick and would be a nightmare to deal with. Perhaps she's tailed off though.

Agree. We keep getting better and the depth is one of the best in the world now.

We've got Wales in qualifying for the 2019 World Cup. Will Mark Sampson still be the coach?

Also got Bosnia & Herzegovina, Russia and Kazakhstan.

England have beaten Republic of Ireland in their opening game of the Uefa u17 Championship. Five different scorers. In the other game in the group, Netherlands beat Norway 3-1. England play the Dutch on friday.

Eurosport were showing hosts Czech Republic lose to France in the other group.

The score was 5-0. Quite impressive but there is a big drop between talent in womens soccer and it might've been the case again there.

Lost 2-1 to the Netherlands. Conceded the winning goal with three minutes left.

Defeat to Norway in the final group match would mean elimination. A win or draw would set up a semi final against Germany. This group of players played Norway U17 in February, drawing 1-1.

I think we're fully capable of topping the group with 9 points.

This is an easier tournament than the World Cup because half of the teams in the WC alone are shite and this tournament is filled up mainly of average and shite teams.

Spain look very good so far. Not playing against a great team but look good on the ball and have some quality players. Our game will be close to kick-off in two hours.

Carney should be starting instead of White in that system.

3-0 now, this could be a hammering. England in total control and I can see at least 5 at this rate.

You see quite a lot of those goals with rebounds off the bar in the women's game.

I've been really impressed by us so far, some great goals. Thought the Scots would pose more of a threat.

    Great Stuff from us.

    Quality hat-trick from Taylor.
Main weakness seems to be the other centre back Bright.

Really impressed with the performance, don't really get to see much of the women play but they play with a creative spark and dare I say it ' intelligence ' our senior men lack.

6-0 win against the old enemy! Not a bad way to start the tournament and must admit, I really enjoyed that.

Taylor's hattrick was sublime, especially the finish for the third and Nobbs volley was superbly controlled.
