Foden is an incredible talent. The game vs France was telling, Aouar was supposed to be the biggest talent on show, I know who I'd rather have

Are we talking potential or current ability? I tend to consider talent to = potential.

Would suspect they'll both be leading players for the next 10 years.

He's older, and had more chances.

I'd swap Foden for De Jong any day. England are desperate for a press resistant intelligent midfielder like De Jong. He would transform our side into legitimate major tournament contenders.

Problem is that De Jong would probably still play in the reserves had he been brought up in England,, or as a number 10.

Sure, both players are reflective of the football cultures they've been brought up in.

Same 3 ATB system as last game, only change is Godfrey in for Panzo.

Would've liked to see Greenwood start but oh well.

I guess Boothroyd didn't draw any conclusions from the last game then.

I guess being charitable we could use Chalobah as a defensive midfielder and go 4-3-3. Certainly as Tom Davies is not a defensive midfielder.

He played Godfrey in midfield too.

If it was a 4-3-3 though you would surely place Foden into the midfield three? Then pick a more forward option ahead of him.
This is what makes me think it’s the same system as the start of the Turkey game.

One of the few things that worked at the U21 finals was Foden. Now he’s pushed into a 10 role or wider attacking role?

Gibbs-White has been a bit of a dispossession machine. I'd like to see Eze get some game time.

It’s gotten so bad in the 2nd half. Back three about 70 yards away from Nketiah.

Not been a good performance to be honest, kind of feels like we're just going through the motions and happy to hold onto a 1-0 win. Been really sloppy with passes that really they should be doing much better with.

Aarons has just saved us but at what cost to himself. We're honestly going to concede if we don't get a 2nd soon.

Aarons' knee looked really bad in the replay. Don't think we'll see him again any time soon.

He was bending his knee afterwards. Looked more like his shin he was concerned about.
