Really? The policy may be ok on the face of it, but how many of their players end up as good bits of recruitment?

They've wasted millions and he still can't improve on the players that got them into the PL in the first place in reality.

Apparently Tomori doesn't have a future at Chelsea. Derby (not surprisingly) and Celtic both want him.

Yeah I agree about Kenny, he needs to just accept his situation and move on.

As for Lookman, I wonder if he'll join another PL club or go back to the Bundesliga. Dunno the exact situation at the Leipzig but I'd be willing to bet they'd like him back.

Shame for lookman as I don't think he will ever realise his full potential now . Everton have treated him shodily. He's more than good enough to break into their side

Ireland have announced their squad for the Toulon tournament, so I'm guessing ours is due imminently.

France's squad is announced tomorrow. Scary amount of talent they have at their disposal. They have the Toulon Tournament, U20 World Cup & U21 Euros going on at the same time but can still field three incredibly competitive squads.

France definitely look like favourites. Who else is up there?

You talking about the U21’s I take it? If so then I think Germany will be the team to beat imo.

Italy's will also be a force to be reckoned with. Zaniolo, Kean, Tonali, Barella and Meret, among others, are all confirmed to be available.

The Germany that nicked Lukas Nmecha off us due to a lack of striking depth? I'm not sure about that.

story goes L.Nmecha is the one who wanted to play for Germany and initiated the whole thing. We have strikers even for 96-97 but had a massive amount of them that had long long term injuries. I mean our 3 strikers that participated in majority of the U21 Qualifiers were injured almost all season so we started using some 98s.

I mean why say no to L.Nmecha which would also permanently cap tie him to Germany in the youth level, without needing a senior NT cap tie.

So much experience in that squad without Ndombele or Mbappe amongst others. Impressive.

Of course it will still be a quality midfield with Aouar in, but I'm pretty relieved that N'Dombele isn't in. The midfield looks a lot less daunting to play against now.

Yes, it basically shows nothing will change in the England youth setup.

Jesus Christ! Why on earth do we hand out new contracts right before a major tournament has even begun? If we bomb out at the group stage, that’s going to look pretty stupid from Les Reed and the FA.

Croatia's prelim squad has been announced. Looks decent and could easily cause us some problems.

Notable names include Benkovic (Leicester), Vlasic (Everton), Brekalo (Wolfsburg) and the failed wonderkid Alen Halilovic.
