Him & Akpom stand out. Wonder if a Championship club would even go for him. He seemed to have a reputation which made championship clubs sign him on loan. Everyone has unfortunately failed.
Also see no Josh Sims for Southampton's pre-season tour yet loads of youngsters. Is there an injury ?
All five of the Everton's Under-20 World Cup winners are going to Tanzania for Everton's pre-season. Squad: Maarten Stekelenburg, Mateusz Hewelt, Chris Renshaw, Tom Davies, Phil Jagielka, Ashley Williams, Callum Connolly, Jonjoe Kenny, Michael Keane, Muhamed Besic, Leighton Baines, Morgan Schneiderlin, James McCarthy, Davy Klaassen, Gareth Barry, Idrissa Gana Gueye, Joe Williams, Kieran Dowell, Kevin Mirallas, Wayne Rooney, Aaron Lennon, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Ademola Lookman, Matthew Pennington, Yannick Bolasie.
Such a pity. It seems a weak position at Saints for first teamers. Last season he was almost forgotten. Then all of a sudden got his first team chance and was talk of a few matchdays and quickly was forgotten again (not sure if that is due to the injury). Slattery & Gallagher also gone with Saints first team.
1 loan from fellow Prem club allowed. Swansea : Abraham Huddersfield : Palmer Palace : Loftus-Cheek Brighton : Brown Stoke or WBA : Zouma Options for Baker getting limited. Talk is Chelsea offered him to Newcastle. Only other clubs as options Bournemouth, Burnley, Southampton, West Ham, Watford, Leicester. Talk of 2 year loan that may even dip into Championship. For Chalobah to Watford perm. Be agood move but think they have to off-load a few still.
Roberts going back to Celtic seems like it's gaining momentum again. Would be seriously disappointed if he ended up aiming so low. I bet there are La Liga clubs that would give a player like him a decent amount of game time.
He was excellent in holland , made the team of the week a couple of times and spoke to supporters who told me he was by very far their best player. Not suited to English football
Going to really have to up his work-rate and pressing for a Premier League manager to trust him week-in, week-out.
Quite interesting to see that of the two teams selected by Liverpool to play each half TAA started in the Liverpool XI with all of the available main starters in the first pre-season game. Clyne in the second team. Will be interesting to see how that develops.
Lovely strike and know he's got this in his locker, just ashame we didn't see anything like his best at the U20 World Cup
