My mate was at the game last night, he’s not really a big follower of the youth teams so to speak but went along as it’s close by. He said he was impressed with the talent on show. He sent me a video of the penalty Willock scored and to be honest it wasn’t the best of penalties and the Italy keeper should have saved it but Willock just had enough power on the shot it seems. Hopefully the FA will show full highlights at some point: Willock penalty here pic.twitter.com/aYKKoeO3sh— The fan (@SimonBarnes20) October 12, 2018
Again, probably more for my benefit than anyone else's: Willock, Nketiah, Eze, Field, Suliman, Ramsdale James, Kelly, Embleton, Tavernier, Pearce As an aside, Willock looks bigger than I remember him.
With hindsight, if he was an U16 today, i'd be trying to turn Chris Willock into a central midfielder with his ball carrying and size. Maybe it's not too late, Joe isn't quite the ball carrier but still has a lot of similarities and it works so well. He's just dominant in the U23s this season. A real shame Arsenal invested in Guendouzi. I'm sure people will be desperate to get Willock on loan in January.
https://www.youtube.com/user/ceskarepre game v the Czech's being shown live on this channel at 5pm. added the actual link.
I've tweeted it already, but just to make sure. That is... Kelly - Trott - Suliman - Edwards - Field - Dozzell - K.Edwards - Nketiah - Hirst - Pearce - Vieira?
Hahaha as I say that a delightful ball out to the right from field and a great cross causes havoc for the keeper and I am not sure if he knocked into his own net first.
There are quite a few 98's playing but I'm still watching this game angry because we wont be going to the U20 WC. So many would have benefited from it.
Not sure if that crosses the line but not surprised that they equalised from what I’ve seen. We just seemed like strolling around in second gear.
I missed most of the second half because the stream kept lagging. Kelly looked good at CB. Bringing the ball out and being brave. Another name that would be a good fit for the next U21 campaign. Dozzell always looks classy. Quite a few other positives. Decent worthwhile work out.
Got to agree I liked Kelly too. Can see why Bristol City fans like him and he has been given the armband for this team.
Not sure why Adam Lewis was left out. Suppose left-back is a strong position in this u20 squad but then maybe with Da Silva's promotion he could have got called up. Doing quite well in the Uefa Youth League being the captain. Also training with Liverpool's first team.
ONly watched 1st half, Kelly the standout for me - defended well and used the ball well, making good decisions. Pleased to see Dozzell getting more minutes in his legs and looking comfortable
Josh Dasilva made his Brentford debut today. Seems to have made an instant impression on their fans. Think he's pretty unique and could develop really well. Also would be nice to see Grady Diangana in the next U20 squad.
This guy's worth to looking at - he plays for Derby, 1999 born, but now on loan at Coventry, a fast and tricky winger: 1060633986182119424 is not a valid tweet id
I would like to see Grady Diagana & Josh Maja receive call ups today, let’s have a close look on them
