No Laird and Appiah the major one's due to injury. Also Harvey White & Cody Drameh. Maybe Binks. Only Harwood-Bellis from 02s called up.
A bit surpised not to see White and Binks. GK and defence are really strong. Midfield is fantastic and probably the strongest DMs of any age group. Not quite as strong up top. Interesting to see how Saka is used.
Hopefully that is the case, although the away game is over in Germany Last time the guy played for England was in the UEFA U17 tournament last year. Binks must have been on standby as he is in for the injured Garner. Balgoun (also called up by USA) is out and replaced by Edmondson of Leeds. Be good if all these lads (including Amaechi) are available when the qualifiers come round.
The strength of this group has always been the attackers ie Greenwood, Saka, Appiah, Amaechi but they just never seem to have got the ideal midfield combination yet I feel despite the talent there and obviously defensive balance has been a big issue. Laird has had to play CB and Saka LB during the Euros.
So Balogun chose USA ? What team for them ? Edmondson is a really interesting call from the blue. Wondered why Bielsa hasn't backed him more.
Just a feeling I get. With the options he has and possibly feeling he is in the shadow of John-Jules it could be the easy option because he does have ability and they will keep calling.
Balogun has withdrawn regardless, Ryan Edmondson is in. https://www.leedsunited.com/news/ac...-in-england-u19s-squad-for-september-fixtures

Not that I know of. If anyone does know they're obviously keeping it amongst their Twitter followers.
I haven’t seen any streams and would be ABSOLUTELY amazed if our FA provided one. Halftime 1-1 Adshead equalising for us.
I don’t quite believe it. The FA posting highlights of youth games. ⚽️ Daniel Adshead⚽️ Ryan Edmondson⚽️ Thomas DoyleOur #YoungLions came from behind to beat Greece in their season opener! pic.twitter.com/doxnXlTv1x— England (@England) September 5, 2019
Full highlights of the game. Hope this becomes a regular occurrence, even if the camera angle is a bit shoddy.
I hope we get a bit more of the next game because Curtis Jones will be starting. Did anyone notice the way he manipulated the ball just before the final whistle on the highlights?
