Even without some of the more high profile players that could have been available, it still looks like a pretty good team on paper. However, I will sit on the fence a bit with this one as I thought we had a good side against Macedonia but then we got beat in the qualifying round.
It at the least looks more balanced now compared to the previous round. You can now see what they are trying to do with the squad as a whole.
I like that line-up but still a bit mystified by a couple of selections. Bursik must presumably have shown more in training than he has in his England games; otherwise, it's hard to see why they've yet to dip into the '01s. I'm also not quite sure how Gallagher is keeping Skipp out of the team, never mind the squad. Not that Gallagher's a bad player, but... well, how good is he? Is he a lot better than I've noticed, or is he just one of those players who get rewarded because they always show up? Steven Sessegnon at left-back is also not completely ideal, but there's nobody I'd want dropped to accommodate him elsewhere, and he's a good enough player to be worth including somewhere.
Gallagher's had a really good season, not that Skipp hasn't, so he's in the conversation on some level of merit. It's 1-1 early, Saka just equalised.
It's pretty amazing that in both stages of qualifying we have only conceded three shots on target to this point. We've conceded from every one of them. Apparently the goal was a bit of a screamer today.
Feels like we are dominating the game judging by the amount of chances created. The Czechs have had one shot on target and one goal. Wasn’t it Bursik in goal in the qualifying games where every shot on target went in?

suck it Spain can't stand them. U19 Euro hardest tournament to qualify since only group winners make it.
Yeah and yet if we make it we’re likely to send a B or C team like last year because Clubs don’t want to release players due to pre-season
