Didn't he have issues with international clearance when he first signed for West Ham? That doesn't really fit with him having an EU passport.
Yes. Most of the players mentioned have been in and around the squad set up for a good while. They have looked at some new keepers and full backs which is fair enough. Like I said though these options get in squads but don’t play games of importance much. We’ve had quite a few injuries and promotions so I would have expected more experimentation. For instance maybe Walker could have played last months games and someone like Jack Clarke come in for these games to see if he can impress for the qualifiers.
But there's been no 'games of importance' since the U17 WC. So Poveda, Walker, Nmecha etc have the chance to play them games next months instead of being thrown in cold. I think you might just feel like you're overly familiar with some of the players. Even someone like Smith-Rowe has barely started any International games.
Nmecha and Poveda are different situations because of the eligibility issues. They have been involved in the past but never competitively. I’m not even sure if they will certainly want to play qualifiers at this point. Walker like a few others has been in loads of squads including qualifiers. A lot has changed since U17 level so opening the squad up slightly more would have been worthwhile imo. We had the two different meet ups so it was possible. Or maybe they could have brought two extra options just to train with the set up.
It wouldn’t surprise me that come the Euro’s, should we get there that Curtis Jones and Mason Greenwood could be in this squad, especially Greenwood who I’m always impressed with when I’ve seen him play. I think that kid is going to make it to the very top.
Yes, Garner also, he’s very impressive. Just not sure who drops out for these three players but mind you come next Summer, there could be pull outs anyway depending on their circumstances.
What's the deal with Reo Griffith then? Seems to have an amazing scoring record at youth level but has been out in the cold for a while.
Has he been playing for Lyon yet in their Youth teams? I haven’t seen anything about him and he wasn’t involved in the UEFA Youth game against City a few weeks back. Maybe injured?
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...-chance-Callum-Hudson-Odoi-feature-Blues.html If that’s true then that’s a real shame that CHO was denied a loan move to RB Leipzig. Would have been a great experience for him and surely would have benefited Chelsea as well in the long run.
That will probably depend on whether he signs a contract extension. I hope he stays strong and leaves on a free. If it's going that way then they might even try and sell him then.
2 - Aarons 4 - Gallagher 5 - Guehi 6 - Panzo 21 - Vokins 7 - Smith-Rowe 8 - Gibbs-White 9 - Loader 10 - Gomes 11- Hudson-Odoi I think they're the starting outfielders today.
I can't see any coverage and I doubt there will be any. Potentially Portugal will put highlights up on their youtube channel.
