Pochettino doesn't like players playing youth games if they're full-time with the first team, presumably as not to disrupt their schedule, it's been a pretty consistent theme for the past three years or so now. Personally it's not something I agree with as I don't see how missing the odd day of training to play a game is going to hurt anyone, it's not like Oakley-Boothe or whoever is in serious contention for a first team place just yet anyway. It appears that TOB is no longer with the first team now though as he's been playing in the more recent games and even played an u18 league game this week.
Nelson was subbed on the hour. Sancho came on at 79 mins for Dortmund at 3-0 up and it stayed that way
Sheffield Wednesday manager Luhukay has confirmed Manchester United are in for George Hirst. Their Twitter account on 27 March stated that they had to remove the games against Latvia & Macedonia as they could not secure the rights to the coverage. They also said that they are still open to broadcasting U19 games in the future.
Super disappointing display by Joe imho. He consistently lost the ball. I worry if Wenger leaves at the end of the year what will become of him Nketiah and Nelson. On the plus side 2 more assists for Mount yesterday and 10 more mins for Sancho against Schalke
Yeah, he wasn't great. I think it's optimistic though, when the rest of the team plays that badly, to hope that an 18-year-old will buck the trend and stand out. Hopefully he'll get another chance or two this season because I'm pretty sure he's capable of better.
Again with a great performance. Unfortunately against my city's Sparta Rotterdam. When is the England coach going to pay attention?
If by paying attention you mean picking him for the England senior team, probably when he's had more experience, and playing for Chelsea would help no end.
England U19 Player minutes in the PL ('98 born) Tom Davies - Everton - 1658 Trent Alexander-Arnold - Liverpool - 1331 Sam Field - West Brom - 539 Levi Lumeka - Crystal Palace - 25 Reece Oxford - West Ham - 4
I hope this isn't something to worry about? He's still being picked in Squads and being used so I wonder if this is just an overreaction or maybe to keep Sancho on his toes or something. kicker write English talent Jadon @Sanchooo10 enjoys too much freedom off the pitch and lacks focus and orientation at Borussia Dortmund.— Mark Lovell (ex-blue tick ) (@LovellLowdown) April 18, 2018
I had wondered what Sancho was up to off the pitch. I read him saying recently he liked it over there and had his pals with him (which seemed odd).
There are rumours Abramovitch has promised his pal, the new Vitese coach, that the player Abramovitch wants to keep out of the hands of other epl clubs (Arsenal) will be loaned to Vitesse. The player is Aleksandr Golovin. From CSKA Moscow. So if that materializes the Vitesse midfield, assuming Mason is still there, will have two absolute quality players fit for any top club in a top 5 league. After that season both straight into the Chelsea squad. You heared it here first!
The kicker names a large number of players at the #BVB who are controversial at the club. Among them even young talents like @Sanchooo10, @Zagad2_ and @alex_isak pic.twitter.com/tSgBruBdmK— German Football Daily (@GERFootDaily) April 19, 2018 I wouldn't worry
Isn't this a bit strange? I mean all those players are controversial in some way or another, almost like a naughty list, don't think I've ever seen anything like this before, lol.
Sancho starts for Dortmund today in a crunch game against Leverkusen. That's a huge vote of confidence
According to the score centre app I use, he's starting upfront, with Pulisic Reus and Phillip behind him.
