1-1 after 10 minutes. Great play from Gelhardt leading to a bizarre own goal.

    Tetek (?) with England's 2nd from a Palmer cut-back.

Then Gelhardt smartly nips in before the defender and wins a pen that he coverts.

    England 3-1 up

It was Tetek with the second, never heard of him before today.

Playing some really nice stuff. Gelhardt instrumental in everything so far.

Yeah, there was some great stuff played in that half, if only Sarmiento had scored at the end there it would have been a great passing team goal. Nathan Wood (?) with some great passing from the back in the half.

He's been around the setup before a few years ago but he's a really tidy centre mid getting regular time for Reading 18s this season.

Cole Palmer looks a right player, not seen him for ages but he must have had a growth spurt at some point, he used to be tiny.

He's got a swagger to go with the skill too.

    Everything is superior.

Trafford makes things look so simple for a GK and it builds from there with the defending, intercepting, passing, dribbling and movement.

I still maintain this group has much more to give.

Considering we can add Moulden, Livramento, THB, Mengi, Roberts, Cirkin, Weir, Musah, Bate, Madueke, Mighten, Carvalho, Greenwood etc

Finished 5-2, Gelhardt and then an absolute stunner from Madueke late on.

He was a bit AWOL last year because of the growth spurt leading to injuries apparently, it’s almost two different players! Must take a while to readjust when it happened in such a short frame of time

He reminds me of Ceballos because he's quite skilful but in an ungraceful kind of way.

Yeah I agree, I remember at a U16 or U17 tournament, can’t quite remember but they were really good and I kind of expected more at the Euro’s but they had a horror show for various reasons but I think there’s some really interesting talents in this age group. When you add in the current U19’s top talents also, in a few years time the U21’s should be stacked with a really good squad.

Potato field pitch isn’t encouraging much decent play

    Definitely.

They quite a physical team in contact too. Matheson struggling here particularly.

We seem to do well to create space and then the next pass doesn't work out or the one after that.

When we do get around the box the link play hasn't been able to get going but pitch hasn't been ideal. Full-backs haven't really been able to overlap either because of it.

A bit disappointed with Madueke. Just trying to bulldoze them when he gets the ball but I appreciate he probably prefers a central role.

Hadn’t noticed but apparently it’s against Slovakia U19’s, might make more sense with some struggling a bit physically.

Lovely play by Musah to set up Greenwood.

You felt we were probing better with our attackers in lead up to the goal.
