I very much doubt Crowley is scared of Dhanda and Edwards behind him. The kid is very very confident in his ability. He seems very close to his family maybe they are ecouraging him to change.

After pulling out of the England u17 squad I was wondering if Adam Phillips would play for Liverpool u18s today. He is.

Could he be doing a Rossiter.

That last post should have been in the u17s thread.

The first game against Holland u18s is today (Wed) at 3.00 at Burton - any news on how it's going will be welcome on here.

    Let's hope it's a good win.

Will the match be on TV or a live stream?

Last time I heard the score was 1-1. Armstrong scored our goal.

There is absolutely no mention of this on the England twitter. Which is strange because they've not shut up about the second game on Friday.

That's where I got the score from. All of their tweets from the game have been deleted by the looks of it.

That's strange that they'd do that.

Karen Peacock's twitter said the half time score was 3-1 England and congratulated Sims and Armstrong on a great half and Howes on some excellent saves.

I expect his fixture is partly so both sides can use their full squad while the strongest sides go at it on Friday which would explain why they're treating today's game like a competitive training match.

Sounds like we have another Roswell incident type conspiracy.

Surely we haven't let a two goal lead slip away.

Two goal leads are the most dangerous leads to protect in sports.

Where was the game played? If it was at SGP then that might explain it, because they're still trying to sell tickets for the next one at Burton.

England won 4-1. Armstrong with two goals. Be nice to replicate that on Friday. I know Howes, Fry, Cook and (probably) Taylor Moore played.

The game was at Leigh sports village where Man U play their U21 games.

    Match report: http://www.thefa.com/news/england/development/2014/sep/england-u18-v-holland-match-report-030914

It's a much weaker Dutch squad with only eight out of the twenty having been selected for the Euro's and they're clearly looking at options. Slabbekoorn, their goal scorer, has a massive reputation over there but flopped at the Euro's.

Like England they have moved a few of their U17 stars (Paal, Bergwijn, Ould-Chikh, and Schuurman) up to the u19's but seem to be treating the U18's in a more casual manner than ourselves.

Sounds like a good performance with very good confident finishing. We need to follow up with another win on Friday though to keep the inner glow burning.

Sims looks good in those highlights from the left.

Nice freekick by Mitchell. Apparently had a long ranger saved before as per the match report too.

Armstrong deserves a mention for his expert finishing - particularly the way he fired the first one into the corner.

Let's hope there's more of that to come.
