I think anytime a particular group is under represented it should be discussed. I would definitely like to see more black managers in top jobs.
To borrow your own phrase ‘This is just a weird comment. Who cares what race or social background theycome from?’
22% of coaches in England are BAME. That's a significant over-representation. The proportion is lower in high ranking positions in the FA, but then the age demographic is wildly different for those positions too, so can only be compared to racial demographics from decades ago. http://www.sportengland.org/coachingcasestudies/ And the burden of proof should have been on you to provide data first, to be fair.
Race doesn't matter when you are talking about the racial make-up of a football team no. Its a meritocracy and there are numerous reasons as to why black players are overrepresented in some countries, not least that athletes generally come from working class backgrounds due to fewer life opportunities and immigrants generally find themselves starting from the bottom when they move to a new country. That is coaching at all levels. http://www.lboro.ac.uk/news-events/news/2017/november/bame-football-coaches-underrepresented/ 5% in professional clubs from a study by the UK's premier sporting university. A figure that has 'remained stagnant overtime'. But if the age demographics do favour an up-tick towards representation in the future then it points to progress being made. Rio will be pleased.
Just to be pedantic, you actively made an assertion yourself rather than querying or dismissing his. The burden of proving his assertion is on him, but the burden of proving yours is on you.
It goes beyond dismissing it when you make an unsubstantiated assertion of your own. You can say that his proposition is baseless without providing evidence of your own. You can't say that the opposite is true without evidence. You did provide evidence though, so, to be clear, I'm only disputing that one line about burdens of proof.
I don’t think black coaches etc are any worse than white coaches. In fact, I’d like to see a few more of them in the Prem. Equally, I don’t think white lads are worse footballers so I’d like to see a few more of them in some of our less diverse youth teams.

Another 4 for Ellis Simms today v West Brom. I think it was a very young WBA team. He's a big kid, but it's still impressive. We've seen a lot of big lads who haven't been this productive in the past. Really needs to be playing U23 football only (bar FA Youth Cup) after Christmas.
Could be if we were to be in 2008. But there are very talented players in front of him who are older than him and already play for the first team. I would be surprised if Greenwood even play for Man Utd seniors until then.
