Foden had a decent game, nothing spectacular. It's the minutes that counts. Dele-Bashiru is a name that's not been heard a lot lately but he grew into the game when he came on, shame the contract situation stopped his development. Not going to read too much into it but Pep said if the kids get brought on it's because they deserved it

For anyone who missed it, Gomes came on for Man U last night in the FA cup. Had a run down the left, but fired the ball into the side netting.
So Foden's back, and technically this is his first assist. Technically... https://streamable.com/vn7up

Isn't this the first age group that didn't play in the victory shield. It's like they're bringing it back just for them
With the first game a week on Friday (or next Friday as some people like to call it) the squad should be out soon (I'd have thought)..
Kinda strange to have such a big gap between two games. Would've made more sense to invite a 4th team. Also just a weird time to have these games. I don't know who will even make the U18 squad, half will be featuring in the U19s or unavailable due to club requirements, and a few others will be needed for Chelsea's FA Youth Cup tie. The first tie is the same week of the UEFA Youth League round too so will probably rule some others out. Feels like we could see a lot of new faces.
I'm not actually sure this is the actual U18s; I think it's the England schools FA team. http://www.esfa.co.uk/international/ http://www.esfa.co.uk/international/?2017/boys/under-18-squad
It’s a comp for young lads still in education.. college/university. I remember Chris Smalling playing for England a while back, then signed with Fulham F.C.
Callum Coulter is/was contracted to Crystal Palace and has spent time with Colchester, Noah Smerdon was with West Brom until last summer when he was released, there'll be others in there with former pro connections, and it's a good platform for them to catch the eye again.
I wonder if freesports realised what the squad make up was going to be before they paid money to televise it if they did have to pay that is).
The MEN gave him a 7/10 and say his play was bold but showing his inexperience: https://www.manchestereveningnews.c...l-news/man-city-player-ratings-basel-14381371 Hyperbole on twitter is usually best ignoring good or bad.
im guessing youve got that from twitter. he played quite well and actually didnt look out of place at all. from what I've seen he had 91% pass completion swell. either way brilliant experience for him
That doesn't mean much though does it. There was a hell of a lot of sideways and backwards passing in there. The manager expressed his displeasure about the team in general, with the lack of purpose.
a lot of his passes were creative and forward though and he played well. even pep said he was one of the only players trying to drive forward and make something happen. hes 17 so the fact hes even playing is great in itself. he isn't going to be amazing every game and is going to make mistakes. all part of the learning process.
