Blackburn beat wolves 4-0. So arsenal win group 3 out of 3. Rovers second on 6 points. Not sure if they qualify as a runner up
Arsenal had the better of the first half, Chelsea the second, but struggled to take advantage of their attacking spells. Didn't play anywhere near their best. Chelsea had Sam Iling up with the 18s (Arsenal had Patino do the same) and started two U15s (dunno the Arsenal lads in detail but I think majority 16s like Chelsea) and it was a bit scrappy overall.
Would have thought Blackburn would qualify as one of the two best runners up with what I think is 6 points and a plus 5 goal difference. Arsenal's both main strikers were missing, including the one who'd scored the winner v Wolves and the two goals against Blackburn.
I think your right a few teams seem to have finished on 6 points but Blackburn’s goal difference should be enough from what I can gather. Good win for arsenal. Chelsea won the nationals so won’t be too upset.
Not really seen many names mentioned for call-ups here, but have got Joe Whitworth (Palace) and Lee Jonas (Liverpool).
Their website got it wrong, it's today @ 16:00 (not sure if local time or not) Sam Mather (United) also in the squad
Zach Awe (Arsenal) & I think Charlie Setford (Ajax) might be there too. K.O. in 30 mins: https://mycujoo.tv/team/england-u16-ck3lez5im00gd14sqbbi2ebth
1 Charlie Setford (Ajax) 2 Brooke Norton-Cuffy (Arsenal) 3 Luke Chambers (Liverpool) 4 Alfie Devine (Wigan) 5 Brodi Hughes (Chelsea) 6 Darko Gyabi (Manchester City) 7 Kian Pennant (Leicester City) 8 Charlie Webster (Chelsea) 9 Jude Soonsup-Bell (Chelsea) 10 Omari Forson (Manchester United) 11 Ben Chrisene (Exeter City) 12 Lee Jonas (Liverpool) 13 Aaron Maguire (Tottenham Hotspur) 14 Benicio Baker-Boaitey (West Ham United) 15 Isaac Mabaya (Liverpool) 16 Jordan Hackett (Tottenham Hotspur) 17 Toby Collyer (Brighton) 18 Divin Mubama (West Ham United) 19 Sam Mather (Manchester United) 20 Zach Awe (Arsenal) 21 Lewis Hall (Chelsea) 22 Joe Whitworth (Crystal Palace)
I think the starting eleven is Setford, Hughes, Awe, Collyer, Chambers, Gyabi, Mabaya, Webster, Baker-Boaitey, Chrisene, Soonsup-Bell
They're 1-0 up at HT against Japan, I can't really tell who scored because the camera sucks, but I think it was Hackett.
