Webster was injured last time but was at camp. He's a terrific centre mid and, while I've not seen everyone in the group, I'd be confident in saying he'll be one of the most accomplished players there. Really nice kid.
It's the 4th official squad selection for this group and already 8 GKs have been selected. Joe Whitworth (Crystal Palace) Aaron Bott (Nottm Forest) Alfie Roberts (Derby) Jacob Knightbridge (West Ham) Aaron Maguire (Tottenham) James Beadle (Charlton) Charlie Setford (Ajax) George Murray-Jones (Southend) Even at the camp a couple weeks back there were these 3. Luke Hewitson (Liverpool) Jay-Jay Bristol-Thompson (Blackburn) Jack Hall (Sheff Wed) Not even including players who have been in their clubs u18 squads already. Remy Mitchell (Arsenal) Max Thompson (Newcastle) Really spreading opportunities around.
The boys did really well beating Denmark 2-0. Because the Danes were 4-0 up against Ireland after about 60 minutes.
James Clarridge was with the squad on Sunday. I see they all attending a game today/ tonight. He was with Webster and Scarlett.
That get together at SGP for guys that had never been picked by England before. Another player there was WBA's Fenton Heard.
Full-time 3-3. Shoretire had a penalty saved. Great effort from boys finishing 3-3 pic.twitter.com/lFoHigODOZ— John Maher (@j9jdm) August 22, 2019
