Are there more players out there than we thought? Fairly certain 12 isn't Shipley (he's more red headed) or O'Neill (darker hair, although similar ears).
Richardson being there and not on the original squad list in the pre-tournament programme sort of confirms that. The two question marks are players who I don't think are anyone off that list.
Following up on this because im also interested in your thoughts Juni. We know about McNeill and burns but anyone else?
I don't know this group particularly well at the minute either really, just bits and pieces, like I think Ridley is particularly well thought of at Boro and is one of the few in this group with U18 club experience to his name already. I'm quite interested in Williams though, he's been up with Charlton's 18s a lot, very natural mover, easy on the eye, nicely rounded attacking midfield type with an eye for goal, and has represented England and Northern Ireland now. Two Charlton lads in this group, Sarmiento in last season's team, and a lot of good work still going on there.
England lost 2-1 to Turkey this morning, Delap scored, so they're in the third-placed game this weekend. Kelechi Chibueze, Dermi Lusala, Imari Samuels (Dk. 40 Logan Pye), Finley Burns (Dk. 40 Bashir Humphreys), Reece Welch, Charlie McNeil (Dk. 46 Joseph Ridley), James Balagizi, Liam Delap, Lewis Richardson (Dk. 46 Rico Richards), Euan Williams (Dk. 53 Aaron Ramsey), Aaron Henry (Dk. 53Micah Hamilton) Logan Pye the other name we didn't have on the initial list.
(Hope they get to play Turkey B in the Third Placed game as the TFF are only providing opposition team lists for matches against Turkey)
Dunno the final score but England won the third placed game on penalties against Russia. Think it might've been 1-1. Oluwayemi, Lusala, Humphreys (c), Welch, Pye, Balagizi, Hamilton, Ramsey, McNeill, Richards, Ridley
And finally got the players by squad number 1. Tobi Oluwayemi 2. Dermi Lusala 3. Imari Samuels 4. Bashir Humphreys 5. Finley Burns 6. Reece Welch 7. Charlie McNeill 8. James Balagizi 9. Liam Delap 10. Jadan Raymond 11. Lewis Richardson 12. Logan Pye 13. Kelechi Chibueze 14. Euan Williams 16. Aaron Ramsey 17. Joe Ridley 18. Ryan Gooch 19. Rico Richards 20. Micah Hamilton Lewis Shipley and Ollie O'Neill were in the original squad but didn't go, replaced by Logan Pye and Lewis Richardson.
He played for them in the Victory Shield yeah, but he was also listed for England in the pre-tournament programme for this tournament, so his name was submitted at some stage.
Goal from yesterday🔵⚽️ pic.twitter.com/Kol4X3tX5U— Jude Bellingham (@BellinghamJude) January 19, 2019
One notable thing about Bellingham is that he's definitely not gonna prematurely move to a Cat 1. Him and his team are all against it.
Montaigu next up for these guys. 16 April 2019 Argentina 18 April 2019 Ivory Coast 20 April 2019 Portugal They've called up 54 different players this season, would expect them to go with their strongest 20-odd for this, where possible.
I think this is versus Brazil, Norway and France. Jadan Raymond from Palace has been called up. 🦁🦁🦁Huge congratulations to #CPFC U15/U16 midfielder Jadan Raymond who has been selected by England U16s for an upcoming tournament, playing against Brazil, Norway and France. ⚽Good luck, Jadan 👊🏻 pic.twitter.com/DokPxG4WIC— Palace Youth (@PalaceYouth) February 1, 2019
