The Daily Record seem to be on the same wave length as yourself: But he's left his options open and has represented England Under 15s on several occasions too. Now he's moved up to the 16s with the English appearing to be ahead of the Scots in the battle to land Dembele. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport...tic-wonderkid-karamoko-dembele-named-13477450
Ebiowei was in the preliminary squad but didn't get selected for the final 23. This U16 group has two other very attacking midfielders and this team in general is flooded with attacking talent so they might have just chosen to pick those two over him because they're sure they will end up actually choosing to play for Holland.
Charlie Patino Lewis Dobbin (who made his U18 debut last weekend) Nohan Kenneh Amadou Diallo (who I really like)
So far Goalkeepers Kelechi Chibuele (Chelsea) Paul Cooper (Stoke) Defenders Midfielders Nohan Kenneh (Leeds) Jude Bellingham (Birmingham) Charlie Patino (Arsenal) Attackers Karamoko Dembele (Celtic) Lewis Dobbin (Everton) Sam Iling (Chelsea) Amadou Diallo (West Ham) Centre-forwards Louie Barry (West Brom)
UPDATED to 16 players + a new name Goalkeepers Kelechi Chibuele (Chelsea) Paul Cooper (Stoke) Defenders CJ Egan-Riley (Manchester City) Harry Hagan (Everton) Ben Watt (Toottenham) Midfielders Nohan Kenneh (Leeds) Jude Bellingham (Birmingham) Charlie Patino (Arsenal) Aaron Henry (Charlton) Attackers Karamoko Dembele (Celtic) Lewis Dobbin (Everton) Sam Iling (Chelsea) Amadou Diallo (West Ham) Jamal Musiala (Chelsea) Centre-forwards Louie Barry (West Brom) Nile John (Tottenham)
This squad is starting to take shape now with a number of the same core players and he is a big part of it. Be surprising if he doesn't prefer us over Eire. Egan-Riley too.
I read the other day that Levi Laing (Arsenal), Dermi Lusala & Nile John (both Tottenham) were with Brentford and left when they closed the academy. It really does make their decision more bizarre.
Looks like Aaron Henry of Charlton was only there for the experience as he says he is going back to club football and the u16 squad left for France earlier.
Seems the same for Paul Cooper. Good to see this is happening though. Constantly looking and no closed shops. PS think Levi Colwill is in the squad.
BTW Nile John was not at Brentford. There is another player in Spurs academy Eddie Carrington U16 who was at Brentford.
Just going by this article. http://trainingground.guru/articles/four-players-from-defunct-brentford-academy-in-england-u16s
First game v France tomorrow. Hope to start seeing more of this group. Just say this is the squad Goalkeepers Chibueze, Boyce-Clarke Right-backs Egan-Riley Centre-backs Hagan, Burns, Colwill, Watt Left-backs Norris Midfield Kenneh, Bellingham, Patino, Delap Attackers Iling, Musiala, Dembele, Diallo, Dobbin CFs Barry, John Likely looking for another keeper, rb (sackey, davidson, lusala), lb (pye, garrett, samuels) and midfielder (simons, hodnett, vale) Also of interest. Dobbin made his Everton u18 debut last game & a player who hasn't been selected yet Joe Ridley scored his first u18 goal last game. When you think of it no Ohio, McNeill, Ridley, Young-Coombes who are all mainly central forwards.
