Matthew Dennis, Miguez Azeez, Yunus Musah and Arthur Okonkwo all made their Arsenal U18 debuts today (as did fellow schoolboys Stan Flaherty, Josh Martin and David Agbontohoma).
What I've seen and heard is only good about Yunus Musah so surprised he didn't get the opportunity to start whilst Azeez for example did. But Arsenal certainly dished out some u18 debuts today.
Not sure how good he is as haven't seen him play but seen him mentioned a few times, so not sure if it's a big loss or not but I saw that Okoflex is in the Ireland U16 Victory shield squad.
I think he's always been back and forth. He was born and largely raised in Ireland and considers himself Irish, so I wouldn't be too surprised if we lose him.
This info was correct at the time of posting, but it seems the tournament dates have changed to next week, and England aren't in it at all now, which tallies with the lack of news on it. All a bit strange. :/
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armstrong_Echezolachukwu_Inya_Oko-Flex His management or family are certainly ensuring his brand and profile is well fleshed out.
Dan Micciche is coaching at Southend in some capacity now. Also, U16 CB Blaine Rowe who attended 15s training camp last season with his then teammate Charlie McCann who went to Man United, played the full 90 for Coventry in FA Youth Cup win over Lincoln
According to the YouthHawk website there is a tournament in Florida at the end of the month (and beginning of December). Teddy Hoare's dad tweeted over the weekend "Nice to see my boy back in action today against Chelsea. 1st goal and back for England in 3 weeks in Florida".
It might not be the place for it but I've been reading No Hunger in Paradise. Supposedly one of last years ENG u15s was offered 45k/week? and a 2 year pro contract. Crazy really. Was this common knowledge and is it known who it was ? Or is it still not known. Suppose it doesnt compare to any of the other stuff.
These games are all always streamed on youtube. You guys have played in this tournament a few times, you participated last two years ago with the age group that won the U-17 WC. http://www.ussoccerda.com/20171114-Academy-Winter-Showcase-2017-Nike-International-Friendlies 2017 Men's Nike International Friendlies Schedule Wednesday, Nov. 29 Brazil vs. Netherlands, 3:30 p.m. ET USA vs. England, 7 p.m. ET Friday, Dec. 1 England vs. Brazil, 3:30 p.m. ET USA vs. Netherlands, 7 p.m. ET Sunday, Dec. 3 Netherlands vs. England, 1:30 p.m. ET USA vs. Brazil, 5 p.m. ET
Much obliged to you, we can always count on the US for streaming these games we ( English ) wouldn't otherwise see as our FA don't believe in streaming any of our Youth games until U21's it seems. Pretty pathetic really I know but money talks and they just can't afford it. Forgive my sarcasm with regard to our FA, thank you as this information is really helpful
Yeah they're on the US Soccer channel, the 2015 games are still there. Foden scored twice in this game againt Brazil for example:
Ben Knight in. Think Sam Robinson too. Not sure if you heard Juni but supposedly Daniel Jinadu has been having a trial at West Ham. Oddly with Serine Sanneh already there even though not in same club age group.
Musah also in. Assuming Hoare is as wasn't involved with BHAFC u18s on Saturday. They took a squad of 20 two years ago. So the squad at this point : GK : Moulden RB : Robinson CB : Simeu, Dorsett, Brooking LB : Bondswell CM : Hoare, Musah, Pendlebury AMF : Palmer, Knight, Carvalho ATT : Mighten, Sarmiento CF : Smales-Brathwaite, Greenwood So with 4 spots left. 1 definitely a GK. Madueke, Pennant, Rogers isn't there. Would assume Wood-Gordon may be injured or they have taken 4 centre-backs. Gelhardt still out with his long-term injury. Last 3 spots probably between Livramento, Cover, Hodge, Elliott, Osorio, McAtee. Also depends if Livramento/Elliott are back from injury.
shame if both McAtee and Eliott are missing out, they bring something the other midfielders don't have
