I think it might have something to do with the Liverpool fans hijacking the voting to be honest.

As a Boro fan, we had our B team out tonight, are a poor side anyway and Dier still looked awful. Honestly, it looks like it'll take a miraculous turnaround at this stage for him to get back to what he was and even then there is an argument as to whether his peak level is good enough for us anyway if we want to win tournaments.

Anyone else a bit confused by Sessegnon? Great at manipulating space inside of the full back but turns down open invitations to attack the space on the outside. Not that confident at whipping a ball in perhaps?

He doesn't stand out for the U21s so I doubt he would make an impression for the seniors. Another one of those midfielders that has a good goal threat but isn't press-resistant.

Liverpool fans seem to have real chip on their shoulder regarding England and international football in general.

Maybe a stupid question, but is that player of the year just for the best English player in professional football over the last year, so including club? Or is it just exclusively for performances in an England shirt? If the latter then it seems slightly silly to put it down to a vote on Twitter, it should just be given in house. I feel like Henderson's best performances have very much come playing for Liverpool and that one of Kane or Sterling should've received the award.

Not surprising as he's literally been playing NON-STOP for weeks now. Whatever it is I just hope he's not rushed back.

He was holding his back? Praying it's not serious otherwise we're screwed

Why we even have FA cup replays is beyond me, should scrap them along with scrapping the league cup altogether. As for them being important for smaller clubs financially, surely the other way to help them out would be to, oh I don't know, maybe tell the pl clubs to pay a tiny proportion annually of their millions towards a fund.

Solskjaer said he'll probably be back playing Sunday, so it doesn't sound serious. The issue is, Solskjaer's awful management will mean he ends up aggravating whatever it is by overusing him. Why he was on the pitch for even a second tonight I don't know.

Agreed. Southgate should spite him by taking Greenwood to euros. (Kidding..kind of)

If Kane is to miss the Euro's I think Rashford or Abraham will be decent replacements and not a cataclysmic loss. I actually prefer Abraham to start.

He's not going to be match-fit for the tournament, and rushing him back is likely to do more harm than good. Southgate should probably be planning for how we will line up without him.

Say he comes back and plays 4-5 games before the season ends. I'm willing to take that match-fit gamble.

As did Spurs in the CL final, look how that turned out.

Admittedly he was thrown literally straight back in for that one. However, after a long time out it takes more than 2-3 weeks to get back up to speed. We have seen with the likes of Rooney in the past that sometimes you should just admit defeat with injuries in the short term, playing players through the pain barrier does more harm than good in the long term.

    It’s most certainly a possibility

Hasn’t he had the worst kind of hamstring injury plus sowing the tendon back in place has to be a concern when he’s in recovery

Hasn’t Kane tried coming back from
injury too soon a couple of times ?

If kane doesn't make it then I hope southgate opts for grealish as his replacement with rashford as main striker rather than someone like danny ings. If vardy could be persuaded to play that's a different ball game altogether
