Is this the future of tournament football? video officials ruling out loads of goals for the most marginal shit imaginable . If this is the case , I cant be bothered watching this . Its actually done more to encourage diving and gamesmanship ,with the way they have managed the replays .
The champions league was ruined by this.. Roma , Atletico Madrid and Man City got K.Od because of bad VAR.
Yeah, I mean I get decisions that are clear and obvious but when you’re offside by a bloody toenail length and ridiculous handball decisions or fouls when people fall over for touching hands etc, it just gets silly. Sometime in the future, it will become the norm to celebrate a goal when VAR has given it the all clear when it should be when the player initially scored.
The video official is not even accountable and they have made a decision to not show replays. They can rig games like this...
We have been unlucky with the woodwork today though tbf. Despite how bad people think we’ve been, we have been the better team imo and should have won this game.
Sterling will probably and score the winner but he’s had about 5 fairly easy chances to score today .. In extra time alone he just missed two from about two yards out .. even managed to scuff a close range header when he caught it under his CHIN ..
We’ve also still been poor though. 1 goal in 240 minutes of football with the forwards we have at our disposal is poor. We have hardly been carving out chances in either game which is disappointing
Teams like Switzerland shouldn't be allowed in these types of tournaments. They just stifle games because they have zero talent. I know I will get slammed for this comment but it's true
Switzerland fully deserved to be in the last four like all the teams because they finished top of their group which included Belgium fwiw.
I thought we did quite well all things considered. Should have won by a few if our attackers had turned up. Nothing sensational but I think we got something out of both games and will be better for it in the long run. Will be a big season coming up and hopefully our younger CM’s get club game time and then we might be looking like a strongish team.
I think next season TAA should be 1no right back and get some of the young creative midfielders in the team and we'll be good to go.
Delph, Dier and Lingard in the midfield 3? England lacking creativity? Wonder which players could offer this... pic.twitter.com/uMW8m2kEa5— ✡️ (@aaron_bennis10) June 9, 2019 and Grealish!!

I'm all for protecting young players but is it time to bring on foden for the qualifiers? I know his game time has been steady but is he, grealish and maddison these creative players we have been lacking for so long?
