I know, it really pisses me off! Even when the women Squad got announced the other week it was in position order. Anyway, hope this is better: Gareth Southgate has announced his squad for the UEFA Nations League finals, with Harry Kane included. 🦁🦁🦁Nathan Redmond and Harry Winks are also named but Luke Shaw misses out.— Sky Sports News (@SkySportsNews) May 16, 2019
I don’t think Southgate is happy with the way Shaw pulled out of the last two squads but played the games immediately before and after for Man United.
Plus being Man Utd's best (least worst?) player is not much to shout about. In really simple terms, Shaw is a fine 3rd option (as is Bertrand and hopefully Sessegnon will be one day) but Chilwell and Rose are better left backs.
Luke Shaw has played 2 games for England in 4 years and dropped out of countless squads in that time.
Rose and chilwell are better in my opinion anyway. Plus we have the possible emergence of sessingnon if he goes to spurs
We really need Winks. I think Lingard will make it just because of his experience and he has played well England to be fair.
Still miffed that Chelsea have messed up the career of cheek to play in a pointless friendly in a country that doesn't care about football. Could have finally realised his potential. Now we will never know
You've got to wonder how two young players have suffered such a rare injury in people of their age at the same club and at the same time. Read on another forum some speculation that it could be poor medical practice relating to injections etc.
Yeah you're right if one of them was to be dropped it would be Trippier, I mean 3 right backs with Gomez there is overkill. Thank goodness he didn't take 3 pure left backs aswell.
Foden doesnt even get a place on the bench for the cup final.. why the hell did he sign the contract? should have moved on .
Last two seasons sterling has scored 50 goals. For a wide player that is phenomenal. He's really developed into a world class player under pep
Who else smiled today as Sterling cutback the ball for Stones at the edge of the box and he was so close to scoring city's 7th.
I was really disappointed to not see Foden in the squad today but still optimistic about his gametime next season. If Pep uses Bernardo Silva in the wide right role, it'll mean there's a slot in midfield for Foden to get plenty of games playing alongside De Bruyne. David Silva is 33 years old after all. It's possible today was just down to a fitness issue.
Sterling for me is a far better player than neymar. Neymar is all tricks and flicks with no end product. Sterling would walk into 95% of teams in world football
I think he would be a starter in any team to be honest. He has really kicked on this season and is one of the best forwards in world football now
A sweet volley scored by Sancho today. I’m not sure of his goals and assists stats for the season but they’re damn impressive.
