    Rumoured team -

England team to face Germany (3-4-3): Hart; Keane, Smalling, Cahill; Walker, Dier, Livermore, Bertrand; Lallana, Vardy, Alli.

Nice to see Alli, Lallana and Vardy link up. Keane, Smalling and Cahill with Walker and Bertrand. That sounds like a 5-2-3. Has Keane ever played in the midfield?

this is one of the worst England 11 i've ever witnessed. don't see how we're gonna string 2 passes together, too much responsability on Lallana.

Seems like merely a sit deep and counter formation. Personally don't think I would bother with a three at the back without Stones either.

Even though I agree it's not the best on paper but interested to see the team when Defoe last played and it wasn't much cop then to be fair either and not sure if it's any better than tonight's line up?

Can't help thinking Loew looks like a 70's porn star.

    Lallana hits the post.

This has the look of one of those games where we're on top for most of the game and end up losing to a late goal.

Could easily be 3-0 to us. Alli has been the best player for me, but he really should've scored with that 1-on-1 and disappointing how he shot straight at Ter Stegan.

Probably just wasn't aware how close Brandt (I think who it was) was and had to react. Knew he has that in his locker.

Formation makes it very hard to control game from deep but there is a lot of space to work with. Livermore just doesn't offer enough on the ball. Main positive of the formation is that it gets Alli into positions he's best in. Which is basically forward roles.

We're still a bit lackadaisical at the back. That can cost us.

Rough start in the first 10 minutes but now we're back on top. I knew their style would suit us.
