Btw .. in Denmark it's not the FA or the Superliga clubs who decide when and how to make changes to the league structure, they also need the NordicBet Liga clubs not to vote against, but to agree to it, so to make them (and the bottom Superliga teams) happy and agree to a 12 team Superliga and only one team being promoted next season, they had to agree to a substantial financial Superliga relegation "parachute" and also a substantial raise in the share of TV- money for the NordicBet Liga clubs both next season and in the future to come.

The home leg in the decisive relegation play-off's against either Viborg or Silkeborg has been sold out ... or more correctly .. Jutlander Bank has purchased all tickets for the home game and are giving them away for free in Hobro ...

The last round of the NordicBet Liga has finished ... Silkeborg won the league and promotion to the Superliga ... Viborg finished 2nd and are going to face Hobro in the Play-off's, while Lyngby finished 3rd and are going to face Vendsyssel in the play-off's ...

Btw ... regarding the city and club names above then 'Borg' = 'Castle' in English and the 'g' sound is not really spoken when 'borg' is part of a city name, so Viborg sound more like Vibor .. as for Lyngby then 'by' = 'city' or 'village' in English, which is also why you find Derby and Grimsby in the parts of England that was setteled by the Danish Vikings ...

I suspect that if Hobro suffer relegation, then their 3 best foreign players Kirkevold, Babayan and Sabbi are going to be picked up by other Superliga teams or will move abroad ... I also think that Vito Hammershøy-Mistrati will be leaving ... I think Vito may return to Lyngby if they win promotion and since Hobro, Viborg and Silkeborg are not that many miles apart, I would not be surprised if Babayan and/or Sabbi are going to be picked up by newly promoted Silkeborg (or Viborg if Hobro is relegated)...

I have also noticed that Cappis has been getting more minutes of lately ... he actually played the full 90 minutes against Randers, and then also from start in the first leg of the play-off's against Vejle, so I think it's their plan too keep him and use him as a regular starter next season, if they suffer relegation....

Sabbi started, played 90, and scored in a 1-0 first leg win in the Superliga relegation playoff. Second leg is Sunday, away to Viborg.

Putting the team on his back! Let's go!

Finally getting back to the form he had early in the season (before that injury) at just the right time....

I’ve actually heard about some Anderlecht interest in Sabbi. Not sure how serious it is, yet

And he scores to give Hobro a 3-0 aggregate lead (2-0 in the match already).

Huge part of Hobro staying up. Sabbi deserves a call.

Wouldn't surprise me if clubs higher up the pecking order than Anderlecht might be interested with his performance the last few weeks...wow! what a golazo today!!

Maybe his club wanted to keep him, for the relegation battle. Surprised he wasn’t considered for the U-23 core

    Superliga Play-off's 2018-19 :

    1st leg:
Hobro IK v Viborg FF, 1-0
    1-0 Emmanuel Sabbi (30’ )
    Attendance : 5,674

I'll find the highlights from the 2nd leg as soon as they are up, but as you can see in the highlights below then Hobro was saved by some excellent goalkeeping by Rask and the goal by Sabbi in the first leg, so though 1-0 was a good result, there were still good reason to be worried about the return leg, considering all the big opportunities Viborg were able to create.

    Hobro lineup (4-4-2)
Jesper Rask - Mathias Haarup, Jesper Bøge, Yaw Amankwah, Nicholas Gotfredsen - Emmanuel Sabbi. Vito Hammershøy-Mistrati, Jonas Brix-Damborg, Edgar Babayan - Julian Kristoffersen, Pål Kirkevold
    Sub :
    Vito Hammershøy-Mistrati < Mikkel M.P. (59.)
Julian Kristoffersen < Christian Cappis (69)
Nicholas Gotfredsen < Jacob Tjørnelund (89)

Highlights (goal + almost an assist at the end by Sabbi ) :

    1. he's doing this on a team that has ~30% possession....

    2. scored/assisted in the last 3-4 playoff games to almost single-handedly keep his team up.

    3. He started off the year really strong (had another sick golazo earlier in the year) got injured and never got back to that previous form....his club looked certain to be relegated and he deserves a lot of credit that they weren't imo.

That's heart personified. Stay on that track and stay healthy. He should push somebody off the current roster.

Anderlecht would be an enormous jump for him, so large that I’d worry it would be too much.
