Kind of an old article, but from his lips to God's ears, I say.... I want to be the greatest player on earth – Emmanuel Sabbi UD Las Palmas new signing Emmanuel Sabbi has disclosed that his geartest ambition is to be the greatest player in world football. The Italian-born Ghanaian signed a two year deal with the La Liga outfit and has set his intentions of becoming the world best footballer in the future. “My major career target as a footballer is to be considered as one of the greatest players that has ever played the game and I am training hard every day and working towards that.” Sabbi told the media. “I started this at age five and I’ll keep working until I get there. “Many are called in life but few are chosen and I want to be part of the chosen ones and I believe with God on my side and with dedication and hard work the focus will be recognized,” he added. Sabbi has already played for the U-20 side of the United States but leaves his door open for a call up to play for Ghana if the opportunity avails itself. http://www.qatar-soccer.net/2016/08/31/i-want-to-be-the-greatest-player-on-earth-emmanuel-sabbi/ All Akale wants is to make soccer the greatest sport in America.
Not sure what's more feasible.. Soccer becoming the greatest sport in America or the Sabbi the best player in the world. Lol But like they say never bad to dream high

Despite some conflicting reports, can confirm U.S. U20 Emmanuel Sabbi has never been contacted and has no interest in playing for Ghana.— Will Parchman (@WillParchman) October 3, 2016
Yeah, probably not the first time Ghanasoccerweb has gotten one wrong. For context, Sabbi has been present in six of seven U20 camps this cycle.
Of course, last night, Parchman was convinced that Alphonso Davies could sign with ManU at age 16 and just be loaned to Vancouver until age 18.

"Sabbi’s case has been a little bit different, because he’s in an unstable environment where he is. As you know, he signed with Las Palmas, but his international clearance has not gone through, so he has not been playing that much. Back with the U20s. http://www.ussoccer.com/stories/201...layers-to-england-for-world-cup-training-camp FORWARDS (6): Sebastien Des Pres (Blackpool FC; San Diego, Calif.), Felipe Hernandez (Swope Park Rangers; Murfreesboro, Tenn.), Lagos Kunga (Atlanta United FC, Tucker, Ga.), Stephen Paybe (Estoril Praia; Birmingham, Ala.), Emmanuel Sabbi (UD Las Palmas; Columbus, OH), Mason Toye (PDA, South Orange, N.J.)
I'm not sure if he ever played or even trained with them but Las Palmas' Juvenil División de Honor side (Juvenil A) have clinched the winningest season in Spanish History for a youth team. They drew two and won the rest and some of the score lines were frankly embarrassing. They have 89 points with their closest rivals, Tenerife, having only 64.
As far as I can tell, he has played no competitive games at any level for Las Palmas. I suspect he trains with Las Palmas Atlético when he is not with the U-20s. It's not really all that surprising. He didn't work out his clearance to play until the season was more than half complete and he has been off and on with the U-20s all the time since.
Back from the dead (also known as page 14). Stay tuned for news on the future of US Youth Intl Emmanuel Sabbi. 🔥🔥— keith costigan (@KeithCostigan) August 22, 2017 I suspect he's coming back to the US and signing with an MLS team. Wouldn't be surprised if it's Columbus since he trained with them before the WC and it's near where he lives.
A new destination: Emmanuel Sabbi signing with Danish Super League side Hobro. In process of completing work permit paperwork.— keith costigan (@KeithCostigan) August 24, 2017
Newly-promoted champions of the second division, currently 3rd in the Superliga after 6 games. Looks like a nice little town, too.
