It’s hard to know, but if EH was healthy last season would they paid for the Wilshere loan? If they hadn’t, EH would have been 4th in the rotation because L Cook was injured most of the year. Instead he was 5th, just like this year with Cook back in contention. Howe always speaks very high of him, which seems more than just trying get loans or sell him.
Wherever he goes, EH will be best served if the plan is to allow him to be a more forward/attacking CM or at "worst" a true 2-Way. His best skill set is 40 yards to the 18. If he's expected to be deeplying or defensive much it's not a great move. I'd love to see what he does in the Ered, but doesn't seem likely.
Yea I’ll probably just hear from you guys and clap back if anything. I hate their fans. And I’m still mad a Jozy. But I hate Sunderland.
I prefer their fans' humour over the display of poop they put on the field. https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/emmerson-hyndman.1414100/
Youth talent goes to the PL to die, worst league for developing youth talent in the world. They dont want youth, they want a finish product. When an American talent goes there i take him off my prospect list. His career is finished
The PL is pretty horrible at developing talent but going there doesn't mean a career is over. Yedlin has developed a lot there.
The EPL is like a senior national team. It's not for development of youth. It's for results and entertainment (in that order). You don't go to a team in the EPL if you're a kid looking for first team minutes to develop your game. Unless there is a guaranteed path to a loan where you are certain to play a ton of games, sign somewhere else. Plus, no manager is going to go out on a limb for anyone who isn't a sure thing, especially when in the bottom half of the table in mid-season.
Yedlin was an established pro player with a good number of MNT caps when he moved to Tottenham, not a youth prospect. He certainly has developed since moving there, but he was much further along in his pro development than Emo was when he switched to Bournemouth.
Transfer window closes on Thursday. Still no developments on Emo. This one is going down to the wire.
Gers Morelos subject of 6 mill LB transfer rumor (China, of course)... apropos of nothing as Emo is not a striker, but "barely in second" Gers could use one soon, it seems. (and further apropos of nothing, Danny Wilson to CO Rapids... Local angle! and Felix Magath, who owns some Gers shares, reportedly would be "willing" to talk to Gers about their coaching needs... Such exciting things in the scottish rumor mill today - none really having to do with Emo, but since he has no news...)
Magath is a dinosaur whose tactics were already behind the times in 2011. He'd be a perfect fit in the SPL.
Not in the 18 today for Bournemouth, transfer window closing, all around worst-case-scenario for his development if he has to wait another 8 months before he's a regular in the first team somewhere.
continuing to be a top 3 worst yank player (or agent) club decisions in the past few years. but get that PL money!
The Sunderland interest was real, but apparently Sunderland chose to take Ovie Ejaria over Emo. Ridiculously disappointing.
+1 I'd be ecstatic if we could just ship our talent off to Germany, France, the Netherlands and Belgium. Can't speak to Italy or Spain since our issues there may have have had more to do with the prospects themselves. Just don't know. But yes, anywhere but England.
Perhaps Eddie Howe speak to Emo and showered him with more praise with how talented the young lad is, and how patient he’s been. If Emo keeps up that chipper attitude, maybe he can make a true crack at the first team in 2021. #daretodream
Was a terrible move the day Emo made it. Still a terrible move. Youth is not served in England. Especially the EPL.
