    Sounds pretty encouraging and optimistic
"EH: It’s a big season for me, it could be the one where I make my breakthrough and I’ll work as hard as I can to make it happen. I know that the opportunity is there, so it’s up to me to impress and show that I’m capable. I don’t see why the team can’t have a successful season, there have been a lot of positives this summer and as a group we’ll continue to move forward."

It seems that Hyndman has grown a lot. How tall is he now?

Fulham lists him at 5'7 but it does seem like he might be a little taller than that now.

With the exception of a few defenders and Rodallega, most of the players are 21 or younger. There's some really highly rated guys coming though so it'll be fun to see them play.

this is bull. for a moment i lost track of parker entirely and can't believe hyndman's luck that he's still at fulham and he gets the chance to play alongside a guy like him, in a similar position no less. parker was and is a great pro. he was incredible at west ham, an epl version of beckerman-- a really solid but underrated, hard-working grafter with a good bit of touch and bite. he would have been the lynchpin in the center of our mid for 2/3 world cups. bad mouthing him just shows you've never seen him at his best, nor studied him as a person or player.

read what I said dude. We already have players like him in the USA team. Bradley and Jones are similar players, though maybe better. I was hoping that Hyndman would develop a different, moe skillful style. I was not hating on Parker.

Just wide! Emerson Hyndman misses by inches with a crisp half-volley from edge of box. Great shot from the young American.

Fulham 2-0, Dembele with a brace

I think Hyndman's move to Fulham definitely deflated some the hype that was starting to surround him in Dallas. He was training with FC Dallas' first team at 12 years old. He wasn't involved in the U17 youth national team when he may have been the best player on that team. Reading the YNT thread on him gives some perspective of the hype that was beginning at young age. It's great to see him doing well now.

Hyndman ended up playing 90 minutes.

Fulham's got two more friendlies, and then their season starts on August 9th.

I've gotta think there's an extremely good chance that Emerson makes his first-team debut before Christmas.

But damned if nepotism doesn't seem to produce good players sometimes...
