Well, I am glad the WC won't be without the best player in the world. After a heart breaking defeat in WC 2014 and a short hiatus, he came back to put the team on his back and gave a game deciding performance today. Congrats Paulinho !
If Chile hadn't complained about Bolivia, they wouldn't have gotten extra points along with Peru and would have made the World Cup. How tragic
Lord with the same amount of goals as Neymar, James, Vidal and Jesus and more than Suarez, Di Maria. MVP of the qualifiers.
Not sure they had a better short-term solution. The players were hugely disappointing with some small exceptions and one notable one.
The head of the groups in 2018 are also already decided. Russia Germany Brazil Portugal Argentina Belgium Poland France Spain is going to be the big bogey team to avoid in a draw. Italy have been knocked off in the group phase in the last 2 WCs, so they will want to prove something. And then you also have England.
I predict England in Argentina's group and Spain in... ok I won't guess that. Team USA out of it. Who would have thought. And Iceland made it.
That tying Panama goal is a travesty. There is no way the linesman could have seen if the ball went in or not.
Well, it's been a long 2 years, and what started out disappointingly with Dunga ends on a very promising note with Tite. Sometime in 2019, we'll be starting a 2022 World Cup Eliminatórias thread - and 1 year from now, Brazil will be playing friendlies and we'll be discussing the future Seleção. Barring a major catastrophe in Russia, I believe CBF should grant Tite a contract extension. Whether or not he'll accept is another matter, but look at the way Vicente del Bosque was with Spain from 2008 to 2016 and Joachim Löw with Germany for ELEVEN years. I know Tite may refuse and I know CBF may never even consider this. But perhaps it would be a good thing if it happened. Onto the friendlies and to 2018. I have a lot of expectations for the 2018 World Cup.
