Yep. One of the reasons I said I liked Juve's offseason haul.

My reaction every time Globo refers to Erazo's clumsy ass as O elegante. I don't think I've ever heard an Ecuadorian call him it either.

Kun will be wearing Messi's no.10 I hope that Di Maria and Tevez join him on the front line, but I think Tata will give Dybala his baptism of fire!!

@Mengão86 I heard your boy Macnelly might play lol.. That's a reason for getting worried about Colombia even though I have been on Macnelly's side during the 10 year debate if he can play or not play but his work-rate is lazy even by Serie B standards. No james will hurt Colombia and Guerrero can be a great outlet on the counter so i'm a little concerned, they are also without two of their better volantes iirc, the Sanchez guy who had a monster match against us in the Copa. Ecuador finally has caicedo back and i'm worried about no messi for Argentina. Argentina will probably win easy but Ecuador will play better than in the Copa. Quinteros called up a lot of Emelec guys he coached. I think Miller Bolanos scores tonight.

I knew James wouldn't play and was concerned, but I didn't even notice Macnelly was still in the mix. I can see Peru getting a result tonight, but I think ultimately home field advantage will push Colombia to a result. I'll be interested to see how Guerrero does. Since he has returned from injury to Fla, he has been clearly affected by his ankle still. It'd be nice to see some positive flashes from him.

Yeah, I'm not too concerned about Argentina, especially since they are at home and Ecuador normally struggles away.

My mistake Sanchez is fit and ready to play. I'm also curious to see their back 4 without yepes.

Zapata and Murillo might be the CB duo. Zapata is a disaster waiting to happen. I would be worried if he is their main CB throughout qualifying.

Peru looking far more dangerous to start the match.

Typical Peru. They look more than comfortable in defense then concede on a set piece.

Bolivia not even competitive at home.. Wasn't expecting an English championship striker duo to give them trouble with the altitude

Guarin has honestly devolved into terrible. Guerrero hits the post, so unlucky

Peru was at least equal to if not better than Colombia today. Score line doesn't tell the story. If you watched the game and didn't know who teo or bacca was you would think teo was the higher rated by far. Bacca looked like the guy who has been bouncing around The Mexican and Argentinian lgs.

I have a feeling that Colombia will not make the cut for 2018 when its all said and done.

Qualified teams will be Brazil, Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay.

They stopped facing the likes of Greece, Japan, and Suarez-less Uruguay. Thats what happened.

Excluding the money making matches against random oil countries, results/games haven't been that impressive. With Brazil coming back into the qualifying process for this cycle, I don't see them making it.

Rep for the bold prediction but peckerman is why I can't even fathom it. Plus one of the best home fields on the planet. I don't see Ecuador or Peru beating them out for that 5th place spot as of right now.

You can't rule it out though. Unless James can go on a magical run like he did at the WC, what else do they have to rely on? Falcao is done, sadly.

Can't rule it out at all. Usually when they score at home the opposing team just melts and collapses , wasn't the case today at all. They need teo and James healthy no doubt, cuadrado was a non factor today when he was matched up against a 30 year old lb from Juan aurich so it is worrying. Ball movement was labored as well. The problem with picking a Peru or Ecuador above them is that one injury can kill both teams , Colombia has more depth and has more depth than Paraguay. Peckerman did a good job today to lock it down after perus big flurry to start the 2nd half, I trust him
