former thread: https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?p=24915574 2011: a year to forget. we started the year with a closed-door friendly against Iraq. we won 3-2 and we were ready to fight for the asian cup 2011. unfortunately, asian cup 2011 ends in a similar manner as the 2007 edition, one win, one draw, and one lose. then came the sudden hiring of camacho, and china was disqualified for world cup 2014. 2012: el tiempo lo cura todo. Time heals all wound.
Re: El tiempo lo cura todo: Camacho's Era - The 2012 National Team Thread Upcoming matches/events: January 14th: Training February 20th: China vs. Kuwait (Changsha, China - Friendly) February 29th: China vs. Jordan (Unconfirmed venue, China - WC 2014Q) Unannounced: East Asian Football Federation Tournament
happy new year guys! Next yr is olympic year, looking forward to see some action from china. I guess not from the football NT but anyway, all the best to guozu next year. Vaya con dios
conflict between cfa and clubs. so as mentioned on the first post, team china will have a training on january 14th. however, much to everyone's surprise, the training is meant to be over one month long. several clubs started to bitch at cfa's arrangement, stating they need the national team players to practice and prepare for the new season. it is not sure if the training will still go on. some news outlet predicted couple of old players will not be called up (in contrast to what camacho said after the singapore match: he said he will continue to call up the old players for the jordan match)
Is it even necessary for a full-month training camp at this point? Would be better served to blood the young players and use the opportunity to try and spot some gems in the rough.
the news didnt detail what and why the training gonna be over one month i think it is time to open up spaces of olympic youngsters. zheng zhi, sun xiang, and li weifeng are in danger of being excluded.
goal.com did an annual review of our motherland team http://www.goal.com/en/news/14/asia...oalcom-asian-football-countdown-to-2012-china i am not a big fan of goal.com because couple of editors there are douchebags who write ilterate craps, but this piece is ok.
Time for a joke! One day the South Korean manager went to God and asked, "When will South Korea win the World Cup?" God thought and said, "20 years" The manager cried because he wouldn't be manager then. Then the Japan manager went to God and asked, "When will Japan win the World Cup?" God thought and said, "50 years" Then the manager cried because he wouldn't be alive to witness them win. Then the Chinese manager went to God and asked, "When will China win the World Cup?" God thought long and hard...and then started crying XD
Time for an old joke. (it is random and meant to be a joke, so dun take it seriously lolol). One time ntg got ran over by a car and he died. So on the day to the heaven, the god realized ntg wasn't supposed to die! Jesus frowned, apologized to ntg, calling himself a noob and shit, saying it should be another person who is destined to die. He said ntg can't be revived again, so instead, he offered ntg a wish. ANYWISH! Ntg can wish anything he wants, and jesus would do it for him. *ntg threw a globe to jesus* ntg: since i fcuking died under your fcuking noobness, now make it short and simple, i want the whole world to die with me. *jesus facepalmed.* jesus: look dude i can't do that, that's heinous, and it is a crime dude. *ntg did the not-sure-if-serious-eyes at jesus* *ntg logged in to bigsoccer china* ntg: well, erm, oh hey jesus, can't you just give team china a freaking world cup then? jesus: gimme back the globe.
yeah but plenty of other sports where china do well to satisfy a multi sport nationalistic fan like me lol
lol mentioning that cfa has yet to address the translator problem spanish-chinese translator aint hard to find guangzhou evergrande got one for dario conca, feng renliang got a translator now for his spanish trial. i am surprised that cfa could spend so much to hire camacho, but refused to find more translators.
Goal.com has selected Li Weifeng as one of the best Asian players in 2011 http://www.goal.com/en/news/14/asia...an-best-xi-of-2011-park-ji-sung-yuto-nagatomo
Oh gosh I probably laughed for about 10 minutes straight after I saw this. Shows how much goal.com cares for asian football
happy new year to everyone and happy new year to you jaredk, i still want to keep my promise to watch asian cup 2015 in australia with you camacho mentioned he will try to arrange more european friendlies. let's hope there's something to look forward for the upcoming months!
On Sunday, Hong Kong beat Guangdong 5-4 after penalty kicks in Huizhou. Guangzhou's China national team goalkeeper Yang Zhi injured his shoulder and looked to be in serious pain after making two saves. He was replaced by outfield player Wang Weilong, even though Guangdong still had one substitution to make (five per team). The Chinese referee fcuked up, as usual, and did not permit the goalkeeper to be substituted. http://www.youku.name/shenghuozixun/2012010230423.html
