This made things super hard now. Mexico is gonna come guns blazing and USA confidence will be at an all time high.
If El Salvador wins today then it doesn't matter if the USA plays their b squad because we would have already qualified.
A tie would also be good since that would leave Mexico with only 1 point with no games left and then the USA would already qualify to WC with 3 points, meaning that they wouldn't have an obligation to go for win or field their A team, the only way that would lose on that situation is if we get stomped by the USA and not qualify on goal differential.
Down 2-0 in less than 20 minutes and the keeper was trash on that second one. Edit: Down 3-0 well we are done all those days of prep and we aren't showing jack. Now I'm worried about them doing stupid things like just now with the MEX keeper.

I'm just glad that we only lost by one goal and not by five like we did against Mexico. Better luck in 2019.
Liked Marquez a lot. The two CBs, and #7 played well also. #13 was interesting. Dont think any serious offers will arrive though
I don't think so. Last U-20 was better in my opinion and they only caught interest of clubs or rumors and Pena went to Tigres but was already abroad somewhere. Jairo Henriquez with a move to a 3rd division club to Mexico and couldn't manage to score more than 1 goal the whole season. Baumgarter, O. Ayala, and Maikon were already in clubs abroad with no moves.
Your thinking about the 2013 group which was two cycles ago. Understandable since they are the ones that stand out having made the World Cup. 2015's group looks to be another disappointing flop of a group as does this one. Dominguez should go abroad though as quick as he can
The most frustrating thing about this is that the Ticos qualified despite being the worst of the teams coming out of the first round, in essence it hurts us beating them. This reminds me of the Euro in that Iceland won its last match of the group stage getting a first place finish and got put in the harder side of the bracket and it benefited Portugal who got put in the easier side despite being touted as the best team in that group.
I think we would have been matched up with the US regardless. Especially with the rigged bracket system to have the US and MEX avoid each other until the final.
