Well they are called the U17 but in reality they are the U16 as of this moment that will be going to Belize from what I've manage to gather. They played FAS U17 side and beat them 2-1 yesterday, the competition is next month. http://www.edhdeportes.com/index.php/8-futbol-nacional/10648-selecta-sub-17-con-victoria-ante-fas Also was reading that they will be testing one player from the states via EDH deportes twitter. His name is Oscar Guerrero who will try out with the U15.
In reality this is an U15-U16 competition. This is the base for the future U17. They are just U17 by name only.
The schedule out for the UNCAF competition is out. http://www.edhdeportes.com/index.ph...l/11297-selecta-sub-16-estara-en-torneo-uncaf Also an interview with the interim coach the former left I unfortunately did not save the tweet. http://www.laprensagrafica.com/2013/11/15/me-tomo-por-sorpresa-ser-el-principal
I doubt it the last tournament people really had to dig in news and twitter feeds just to get information. So really those two are the best sources unless El Gráfico or LPG decide to stream them.
I'm not to concerned as long as they keep getting games in. My only concern was the coaching change a week or two prior to the competition.
I feel these u17 coaches are weak. Theyve never really done anything ever. I (personally) really want Arce as coach. ..
ES beat Belize today 2-0. They play Honduras mañana. Lets hope for a good result. ES in 4th place right with 3 points and 0 GD
I guess Guatemala was just better than us. El Sal tied for first place what was the last game result vs Hon?
It was a draw against Honduras, I think outside of Nicaragua and Belize they would have lost the first match since they always seem to come in with no energy or awareness.
Tomorrow at 2 pm Belize time, ES vs Nicaragua. Later on, CR plays Belize. Basically, whoever has a better results wins first. Just bragging rights for first place in this tourney (Im not aware of any rewards from this tournament) They really shut me up. But ill take it, im glad theyre doing this well. Hope they continue going like this
Pretty much got to run up the score but I doubt it as long as they are getting exp. I'm okay with it also it will be interesting to see what Guatemala will do with their squad and development.
The Azulita beat Nicaragua 2-1. Theyre top of the group for now. If Guatemala beat la H today, they win the tournament
