I had Roma pegged to make the final because of their roster and ability to generate goals.

What I forgot to count on was Roma's uncanny nature to let in too many goals both at home and away.

On another day Roma would have won this game 5-0 but with Roma its always "another day" too late.

Y'all need a smaller stadium, soccer is no longer huge as it once was in italy, Juve went with a smaller stadium and its paying off, most teams should ditch these big ass stadiums and go with something more compact.

All true, but the fact is we blew it in the second half of the first leg such that we needed tonight's performance and some luck to overcome it. We left ourselves no margin for error, and here we are again.

Not before I get a chance to visit them though. Granted it's going to be an expensive next few years

Agree, they created so many chances and that's really all you can ask for. They just desperately a second ST, there are just no options when Dzeko isn't on.

The referee saved Lopes twice, called off goal and dropping the ball without being touched.

The Strootman chance at the end of 1st half would go in 99 times out of 100.

    Radja is absolutely gassed.

It wasn't the ref, we played a hundred and one high balls to no one... Rubbish performance but couldn't expect more form a team that was ground to a halt 2 weeks ago...

Season is over. The team has shown that they can't be motivated by coppa italia alone because they are apparently too big to care about that competition.

Get ready for a lot of 1-1's for the last 10 games.

Pathetic, if you were a Roma fan that is, which you clearly are not.

Lyon deserved it, we wasted it. Aslong as our defense is complete and utter rubbish; we will not be getting better. Heads up to our American Hero owners..... we still are nowhere near a trophy.

It was, I lsot count of how many high balls were sent a Dzeko marked by two or three players and countless corners sent straight into their keeps hands...

    Pathetic LOL...

Pathetic is what this club has become...

I am a fan of the Roma we used to be, we never won much but had soul, had our colours, our Curva and our Capitano... I didn't mind losing while we had that, now we lose and lost all of that...

Today Totti played 10 minutes, and all I could hear throguh the game were the chants of Roma, Roma vaffanculo and the Lyon hymns...

When Totti is gone, and with the Curva gone this is not the Roma I am a fan of, you are correct.

    I take your point.

    You're a Totti fan. You're a Curva fan. You're not a Roma fan.

It was a tactic that worked but we definitely ended up playing too many. We sorely missed Perotti's delivery, as does Dzeko as seen the minute he got the ball and put one on his head. When we're playing Nianggolan, Salah and with the wing backs its very direct and play can at times be very forced resulting in high turnovers. Perotti brings balance with his smart play and a more consistent end product. He needs to start again as you're right, we cant just rely on being this direct all the time. De Rossi should not be hitting corners.

That's your opinion mate, and yes I am not another plastic fan of this new colourless (AS) Roma, we stood for something, when in Europe playing at the Olimpico against Roma was akin to playing in Hell, all of you new fans never understood that, can't say I blame you, maybe if I would've never been in the midst of that yellow and red smoke I'd be like you, but I was there, therefore I am not.

This, my dear, is my AS Roma:

Lol, Spalletti lost it with Lyon falling and wasting time and called them ************s. Might get banned for the first couple of CL games next year for Juve.

Usually the Roma yearly collapse is a 6 goal loss but this year is a more drawn out string of painful slow losses

Depressed. Had a good chance to win 1/3 trophies this year. In the last 3 weeks: Loss to Lazio AND Napoli, and knocked out of the EL. What a horrible time.

    Bad finishing.
Having that big fart for a ref didn't help, either. He thinks he is too cool to call a PK.

Keep your heads up Roma fans. You guys deserved to go through IMO and were the better team through 2 legs. The officiating was horrible today, especially late in the match. It would have been nice to see Totti go out with European Glory alas it was not in the cards.
