Today was something positive for Adu to build on in the European Qualification Playoffs... and maybe a late, late, very late charge for the pre-World Cup Training Camp if he continues to play well in the final playoff games and gets some luck.

Sorry for our friends from Aris though.

sorry for Aris...tough loss. Adu looked good in his time out there. His touches were good, would like to see him combine more with his teammates but hard to be critical of what he did today.

Freddy had a nice and tidy 10 minutes. Looked very smart on the ball, got the ball to his teammates in dangerous positions, won a fk, and took a nice corner and fk which unfortunately nobody could get on the end of. Too bad Aris lost though. They were the equal of Panathaikos except for one shot which their goalkeeper should have done better with.

Funny, Cuper seemed to making that very motion on the bench on the previous sky ball.

    Did you see it?

Do you mean Cuper making the motion? No I didn't, but I think it was Javito but I couldn't really tell. On Adu's free kick it came out soft and the player had a chance to drive a low blast into the forest of legs and you never know what can happen, at least you get a corner but instead he skied it and gave possession back to Panathinaikos. It didn't decide the game but it's one of those golden opportunities to make something happen, but if you did what he did then absolutely nothing good can happen. It's like walking a guy in baseball, nothing good can come of it.

Who did Adu come in for? Calvo?

I thought Calvo played poor again today from what I saw ( 54 min). He was dispossessed easily many times and many times it was because he wasn't aware of where the defenders were, also some guy was wide open on the opposite flank, and he kicks it too close to a defender, who stabs at it and gains possession for Panathinaikos, on a pass that should never be intercepted unless you're being careless.

Adu had the ball in the penalty area for a good 5 seconds and was surrounded and was flushed out of the penalty area but I thought he was going to thread the ball and force them to stop him, too bad because I think he could've won a PK.

Adu was on his game today, too bad he came in too late.:(
