I think it was just a hammy tweak , I don't think it's serious. Get well EJ...

    Hammy tweaks can get serious.

Ken Griffey Jr. lost 6 years of his career to "tweaks."

EJ will probably not play against Olympiacos, but we will know more later.

    Back to the YA angle...

What is the consensus on Adu's play? EJ's?

I would also like to here from our Greek friends ( after they get over their hangovers) about Adu's play.

I thought he played a very smart "team" game. I mean he looked like he had a role to fill and did his job. He blocked passing lanes was caught out of position only once or twice and was solid. The creative plays weren't there today but we can't expect that every game. I think it was a step forward because he actually seemed like he was part of the team.

I think he needs to learn how to play as part of a team first then work outward to learn when he can try his magic and not hurt his team. Today, it was a positive step in that direction.

Johnson will not play at next 2 games cause of his in game injury.
No worries though he ll be ready for the camp.
Freddy played team game as you say and his defense was good, but he was too conservative. We had to attack more from Freddy's side than Javito's.

just asking, is there anything left to play for in this playoffs?

CL is completely out of the picture.

is there still a chance for better Europa spots?

After the winner gets to go to CL, spots 2, 3 ,4 will decide who goes to which qualifying round of Europa. The higher, the less qualifying matches need to be played, the better.

Well I know if they come in last they will play their first Europa league game July 15 or something like that. If they come in 3rd, they play much later, so there is still a lot of incentive to not throw in the towel...

Yes it seems so. Cuper plans will appear after the playoffs. I hope we can keep him even it seems really difficult.

Aris automatically got the last Greek spot for Europa League because they lost the cup final. That is the third qualifying round.

If they would have won the cup they would have gotten Greece's first spot in Europa League. Which is the Playoff round. Now that spot goes to the team that finishes 2nd in the playoff.

3rd place gets 4th qualifying round and 4th place gets 3rd qualifying round

The Greek play-offs run through the 19th while the US camp begins on the 17th.

If he is not fit to play on the 19th, how can he be fit on the 17th?

Or are my dates a bit off here?

    Yes its 16 and 19.
Freddy Adu goes to US at 20 May.
Ej doesnt play for precaution and not hurt more. I think he ll be able to attend after playoffs.
Tamudo from Espagnol was proposed to Aris yesterday. 32 years old striker.

Tamudo was once a quality striker.

And Eddie's already back in the US.

I doubt that we will make a move for Tamudo. Renewing EJ's loan for another year sounds more realistic.
