Cardona not starting tonight. He also hasn't scored yet this season in the Liga. I don't know. I feel like he just hasn't been the same since he missed that penalty in the finals.
I haven't been watching Cardona play this season. According to one of my Mexican friends, Cardona's playing good, but he's just been trying too hard since missing that penalty in the finals.

He was essential for our tying goal in Santiago, too. That may have been only one point, but that result has us way ahead of Chile. I want to see a game with Cardona and James and two strikers ahead of them. No cuadrado. But, right now, Cardona is the super sub that Cuadrado was 4 years ago. I want him to start, I can see why he might not.

This is a CRACk that can win us matches even if his form isn't the best this season. Just like Teo back then, Pekerman knows what he's doing with Edwin. I just hope that he'll lose a bit weight, too fat for a professional footballer.
He is so clutch as a sub though. and Mac cant possibly struggle in Baranquilla like that again...i have to think that last game was an aberration given his historical form there.
I like both players but no doubt that Edwin has more qualities then Mac. But I do agree with @ryu79 that Edwin as a super sub already won us games and Mac in Barranquilla usually a better player then Mac on the road. But my point was that unless he's injured, Edwin always have to a part of the NT.
Dude he gets so many chances after performances like that. Mac just like Gio are pecho frios I don't get why coaches don't give up on the guy. He just not a NT player. Great club player tho
