hey if Giovani and Cubo who play in a weaker league can get minutes in the NT those two might as well.

I'd give them a shot, I'm just saying it's not likely they'll make Russia. Cubo's only decent chance at making a World Cup is Qatar 2022. I only see Gio making Russia 2018 to be a somewhat ehh option of the bench. But you never know with Juan Cambios Osorio.

Never understood why Caixinha was so highly rated by some people in this forum

If he isn't leading the league by the 2018 winter transfer window, he is out. That gives Lalo and Gullit roughly 5 months to play their hearts out to save Caixinha and jumpstart their NT careers.

Dude, Celtic won the league by 30 points last season... Rangers finished 40 points behind... there is like no realistic chance anyone comes close to Celtic... they own that league like nobody else in Europe owns a league.... they didn't lose one game last season..

I don't disagree on this whatsoever. But Caixinha has already fvcked up by already being eliminated in the Europa League so early. And then he decides to argue with some his team's fans. Those mistakes push him closer to being let go sooner than he might have been had those things not happened.

Most humiliating loss in club history. Fans confronted the team outside their bus after the match.

    Calls for Caixinha's head already.

Needless to say, not the best scenario for our boys to find themselves in as they embark on their European careers.

The fans have all the right to be angry about this elimination.

They only managed to score one goal against the Luxemborgo side in 180 minutes.

Not that surprising tbh. Celtic have been getting a ton of money from the CL games while Rangers have been coming back up from 4th division for the last 5 years. Its going to take a while for Rangers to catch up.

Yes ..Rangers losing to Progres Niederkorn, that had never before won a match in Europe, is more than unbelievable.... Niederkorns best results in the past was a 0-0 home result against Irish Shamrock Rovers in 2015 and a 1-1 home result against Glentoran from Northern Ireland back in 1981, which was also the only goal they had ever managed to score in Europe ... otherwise they had been beaten rather badly both home and away in all their other European games in the past.

They were overdue for a result then. This is football after all.

Well, I agree that the charm of these first Q-rounds of the Europa Cups is that part-time clubs from very small countries and Leagues are able to get results and also be a surprise, not least because the medium and top Leagues are still on summer break ... but this was no average surprise ... but as Chico Facil wrote, the absolute most humiliating Rangers loss in club history.

It's btw worth noticing that the 10 UK teams participating in the first Q-round of the Europa League, from Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales and Gibraltar, all got knocked out ... so this could end up being a terrible year for the UK in Europe.

If he stays longer, great. But I doubt it with how he botched the Europa League and then his argument with those fans.

With the way he's brought refuerzos, top 3 minimum. And with his shit in the Europa League, I think it may have bumped the expectations up to 1st.
