Hell, no... I got mad love for Caixinha for what he did in México with Santos helping players like Araujo, Ulises Rivas, etc..., grow as players, but he should be quiet and not step into territory that doesn't concern him... Gullit has yet to touch his first ball at Ibrox, FFS...
You have to remember that he hasn't been exactly in environments where he was comfortable, at least not the past two years: first he was against his wishes, on a Chivas team that was a disaster and everyone was e expecting him to save them by himself (or at least the press) and then he returned to a mediocre Leon team without Matosas (the guy who made him play the best). His situation kinda reminds me of Marco Fabian's: a talented and still young lad stuck on a bad situation all of a sudden goes to an European team away from the pressure and has a chance to actually play to his talent.
I actually hope he proves me wrong like Jhonfai did. But even if he does, I think his time has passed to make this World Cup. Unless this year's Gold Cup attacking midfield is absolutely atrocious, I don't see him making it even if he has a great season with Rangers.
He's still good enough to fight for a roster spot, though. Specially if someone like Guardado or Gio keep declining and the young guns don't take the next step. At least he can provide quality competition.
At León he started having some off the field issues that were exacerbated in Guadalajara. He was shipped back to see if those issues could be fixed, but not long after returning to León got into a fender bender that basically corroborated some rumors. The Marco Fabián comparison is actually good because it has a happy ending thus far. Hopefully Gullit will reset his priorities and be the player he once was.
