he is 16 year old striker who plays for Genoa that Inter Milán might buy. He has Colombian parents and has not been capped by Italy. Any one know more info on him. 15 million for a 16 year old is pretty insane
Come on crzd... This is another Johan Vonlanthen. No need whatsoever to create a thread for someone Who probably Will never play for the Colombian NT. This could have been posted in the promising Colombian players or something like that.
Inter paid 15 million for him. That is more then what was spent on Guarin. I know transfer market is crazy now but think he deserves his own thread Not like he is a 16 year old at Huila who Nacional wants for the future
That doesn't mean anything. He Will probably be called up by Italy very soon if he is as good as they say. So why open a thread? You could have posted It in transfer rumours or promising Colombian footballers. And it's just a loan. The purchase price might reach 15 million. Has he ever even showed interest in playing for Colombia?
Pekerman ever scout players? That’s the coaches job There is a German Colombian/Venezuelan that Pekerman never talked to either
That guy is made of glass and wanted to play for Venezuela. And you didn't answer my question. Has he ever expressed any interest in playing for Colombia? It doesn't Matter if our coaches want him here. If he wants to play for Italy he can wait until he is 30 if he wants. If Pekerman didn't scout we wouldn't have played 14 New players in the last 18 months.
Crzy is right. Why shouldn't Federation/Coach consider capping this player? He might have grown up cheering for Colombia NT team. His favorite player might have been Falcao? His NT preference could very well be Colombia.
that guy was relevant in wcq 2010....he didnt want to play for colombia just venezuela...and he wasnt so gppd at the end
there is no point in these guys that are 15 and aren't really from Colombia, its silly. we don't know anything about them
You live in colombia or US? I came to the US at 5. If I was good enough I’d want to play for Colombia. Think all the US posters would too. So why not this kid because Italy is better then the US? Or Pepe you are one of the Colombian based posters. Would you not accept a Colombian who was born in the US or went to the US very young to the NT?
Why does crzd have such a hard on for a 15 year old that lived in italy most of his life? Its not like Italy is a terrible team to represent...its ITALY .
I remember an interview I guess it was Antena2 RCN there he said that he would like to play for Colombia someday. I was searching for the link but can't find it
There are too many IFs to get super excited about players like him, 15 years old is a child. And when you grow/live outside Colombia there's a possibility you don't even care about Colombia. But I don't think choosing between two NTs is only a pragmatic decision. If he likes Colombia more than Italy it doesn't matter how good Italy is.
This kid may turn out to be a nobody. Several kids debut at young ages and never pan out. However, I do get the excitement. Debuting in in Serie A at 15 is no small feat. Cap tying him is ridiculous. That said, the Federation should be reaching out to the kid. We have a sub 17 tournament coming up, and the kid is of age. Who knows where his allegiances lie, but this is an opportunity to find out, get a look at him, and coax him if he's promising. He may not be any better than the kids we already have lined up, but it doesn't hurt to buy the kid a plan ticket to Colombia during the next time the youth teams meet
So I was trying to look up his highlights since I tee fans have been speaking so highly of him and I found his dads YouTube page. I was also wondering if the kid spoke Spanish or anything lol but I found this
His Spanish sounds super fluent to me. He is ours to lose. Our federation needs to reach out to him and our players do as well I mean still super early for Snt but our youth coaches should be contacting this kid
