I don't think we have a thread for this. Might be good to have one place to put these with dates and Dynamo games missed.

Really happy for Corey, he's worked SO hard on his game over the years and really deserves this for his performances over the last 2-3 years.

Good for Corey. He has improved, I think back to some of the inexperienced mistakes he made when they first put him back there at Robertson and he's much more solid now.

I'll always remember that goal that he got last season. Too bad the ref blew the whistle to end the match while it was in flight to the net. That keeper wasn't stopping that shot.

I love Corey-but seeing Corey compared to Roberto Carlos is something I'd never thought I'd see-kinds like the Loch Ness Monster.

That's true. It's a bit of a stretch. But they are both fast.

    Congrats to Corey Ashe !!!

Speaking of Belgium, they're my darkhorse to win the 2014 World Cup.

    They're loaded.

I really used to not be a Cory Ashe fan but he has improved so much in the last two years. It's great to see his hard work rewarded.

i know man. i've been pumping him up on the show because people are missing a lot of the work he's putting out there. hell, i was surprised he didn't make it on the list the first go around. going a year back, i said he was a shoo-in for the Gold Cup.

I've become a Corey fan over the years. But what do you all really think are his chances of playing in WC 2014? I underestimated him when Dom moved him to defense, so I'm not going to say it's impossible. Corey is obviously willing to put in the work to improve his game. But I'm trying to visualize Corey defending Arjen Robben, for instance. EEEEEEEEeeeeekkkk!!

Can Corey even possibly work hard enough to make that not a nightmare for Klinnsy?

But I honestly thought he wouldn't be great at LB in MLS and he has been very good. At the international level, I think he is not going to be able to cut it though. I hope he proves me wrong like he has his whole career.

Here's the thing, guys really can come out of nowhere to make WC rosters. All it will take from Corey is a good Gold Cup (which, with this recent call-up, he could be in line for), and everything changes.

I don't think its likely, in fact I think his chances are slim, but he'll be right in his prime and if he's improved this much over the last 2 years, how much will he improve over the next year or so when having to push himself in NT camp? There's no telling honestly.

Corey is one of my favorite players on teh team. I was one of the few defending Corey's potential at left back from day one of his move back there and I am very happy for him.

As a Dynamo and USMNT fan, I feel he still must work on imporving his crossing into the box and shooting on goal from outside the box. His crossing seems to have improved some this season but I want to see him get consistent in this aspect.

He is a very good player at left back now but I believe he can become even better.
