That Roc Nation-Dynamo relationship already paying huge dividends for attracting concerts to BBVA Compass Stadium . . . oh, wait, that's at Toyota Center .@S_C_ x 4:44 | Toyota Center | 11.08.17 | Get Info Here: https://t.co/mmi32wVcXO #444TOUR pic.twitter.com/O6H1ZPAiBt— Toyota Center (@ToyotaCenter) July 10, 2017
I should probably put this elsewhere, but these questions age me: 1st question they are missing the Wondolowski brothers and the 2nd one they are missing NRG/Reliant Stadium. http://www.reddit.com/r/dynamo/comments/6n9kyw/dynamo_trivia_friday/
Another great reminder of being a Dynamo STH - the guy purchasing one-game promo tickets gets the shirt and every STH has to try and get on Orange Rewards for the estimated 100 they put up on there!! Like the Star Wars scarf It will be available on Orange Rewards.— Houston Dynamo FC (@HoustonDynamo) July 16, 2017
There are no benefits of being a STH. It's MUCH CHEAPER to buy tickets at half price for the games you can attend. Thank you flasheats and stubhub! This organization lost me, almost completely. As I've said, I almost rather just speed-watch the games on my DVR, and read the commentaries here on BigSoccer, that brave the Houston heat, parking, traffic on weekdays, terrible stadium wine (even at the so-called VIP club), long concession lines, stupid security people, Canetti's and Jordan's "everything is great, we are the champions" clueless faces, not to mention their arrogant "who the &%$F are you" looks when I greet them, despite the fact that I was STH for many years. and the scared mothers who call 911 and the National Guard when I scream (because I startled their 10-yr-old daughters, who were busy on the Facebook-thing checking out their friends tweets). I would feel better if somebody else was in charge of the organization, but current leadership screwed up really bad. Years of stupid decisions have taken a toll. Fans who leave, are hard to convince to return, even when the team is playing very entertaining soccer at home. Sad.
I thought for sure they'd have the campers doing mock sales calls to targets on Sesame Street The #ForeverOrange front office working to develop the next generation of tifo artists at @HoustonDynamo Camp Day! #SummerIsHere pic.twitter.com/AGH98JfBhn— Brett Zalaski (@bzalaski) July 19, 2017
Hmmm, the whiteboard looks blank. I wonder if they asked him how to design a set piece off a corner kick, I'd imagine an answer like: "the key to a well-designed corner kick is a sturdy yet flexible corner flag to allow various angles of approach by the kick taker" Quick drop by & talk turned X's & O's! Thanks to @HoustonDynamo GM Matt Jordan for time today. His passion for this team is incredible... pic.twitter.com/FIBKQidOmd— Brett Zalaski (@bzalaski) July 20, 2017
I could never work in sales, and its also one of the reasons that I do photos for free. If someone complains about the work product you can tell them to GFThemselves
I understand the desire to replicate the environment as accurately as possible, but taking it beyond no-shows to a completely empty concourse seems extreme #OrangeSalesAcademy & @HoustonDynamo membership teams role playing selling '17 & '18 tix at same time! Balancing both tough, practice key... pic.twitter.com/QGmYXMTWRW— Brett Zalaski (@bzalaski) July 20, 2017
I'm sure everyone appreciates the enthusiasm but Memo has like 250 MLS minutes, he's not Jesse Gonzalez If I see one more tweet on an @MLS Homegrown addition that doesn't include @40_jrod I'm breaking the internet. #WatchMe #WeAreOrange https://t.co/swGyanZquf— Brett Zalaski (@bzalaski) July 31, 2017
Sort of veering off topic of the FO, but the guy on this account has some really funny absurdities on it but the Dynamo Orange Kool-Aid Brigade just eggs him on more. Pretty entertaining 2nd Half, but Homegrowns could've won with Memo https://t.co/kdrZFdNVlG— Foxtrot (@DynamicFoxtrot) August 2, 2017 This is my favorite - Omar Cummings "legend"?!!! He had like 5 goals in 2 seasons and was hurt most of the time!!! Yes, he had the late game goals vs. RBNY but was about as effective as Carlos Costly the rest of the time Legend.— Foxtrot (@DynamicFoxtrot) July 24, 2017
Remember the scene in "Boiler Room" where he goes next door and sees a place like that with a bunch of phones lined up on the floor?
Oh boy, the unintentional comedy on this one is off the scale. I hope someone tweets back "which section? The ones with all the no-shows?" Ever thought, “I sure do wish I was sitting in that section over there”?Now you can at Dynamo games w/ @pogoseat: https://t.co/WTogluQ7Lm pic.twitter.com/BMRovWojN4— Houston Dynamo FC (@HoustonDynamo) August 1, 2017
This is funny. This entire concept is built around an inability to sell out games. Sell tons of tickets, there are no upgrade opportunities. Wonder what they'll charge for upgrades?
A lot of teams do this now in sports (Astros do it every game) and I see it as the FO trying to find incremental revenue. I've actually done it a few times and it was like $22 or something to move from down the line to behind a dugout or to the club. Works fine if you want to buy cheap seats or someone gives you average seats and then upgrading it is less than the original price of the upgraded seat. But in many ways it undercuts the whole "Buy Season Tickets for the best seats!!' Don't wait or be shut out!!!! Buy early and often!!!" because you are tacitly admitting you aren't selling all of the seats that you are trying to create an artificial market for. When they started selling single-game club seats last week for the Portland game it told me they've given up on selling those as season tickets or mini-plans for this year and probably next and usually they won't do that so as not to tick off folks who paid for a full season package to get club seats.
Dynamo probably should have gone with the Avaya Stadium design instead of the BBVA design to maximize airflow and seat viewpoints. Club and suites get their jollies down low and the "normal" seats get a better view. This looks fun at the Dynamo office!! "Gamifying" sales and service duties. Excited to sign w/ @CRMGamified to get Hurrah! to #ForeverOrange sales & service teams! Incredible sales process & follow-up got this done! pic.twitter.com/5f7a59Nb8P— Brett Zalaski (@bzalaski) August 2, 2017
