Lautaro and Kean are in their first season in italy in teams with starters. Lautaro since he is starter have been brilliant and have covered well icardi absence....for me is clear that he have more resorurces than duvan and have much more potential. Colombians, arent the only good players in the world.
Not saying they are but a u20 player with 4 good games you guys can’t say he will bench Duvan other then a Italian team rather start an Italian player
Lautaro since he is starter all games have been good. he has 10 goals not the 4 you hiperbolize. Keane have used well his chances as well. I dont see duvan as starter with competence...taking account his droughts and his age. Another thing that duvan have benefited of is the gasperini effect, in italy there is fame that players that perfomed well with him usually dont performed the same in other clubs and with other coaches..
Duvan is not a 1 season wonder, his underlying numbers last year were fantastic, what you are seeing is that playing out in a system where he is given the right role and utilized correctly. At Sampdoria Quagrialla has been a beast, and Duvan did not fit well in that system, but his numbers for xG and xA based on his minutes played were very good, which is likely why Atalanta went for him. Lautaro is good, Kean is a really big young talent but they are both very different players. Neither of them are as good pressing and creating goal scoring chances for their teammates, Kean is not anywhere near a 9 that could play alongside Ronaldo for instance and he is also not good enough in his decision making with the ball at his feet. Its not a surprise he's very young and is kind of an inbetweener, very good finisher and good instincts in the box but has the profile of a wide forward but doesn't have that skillset developed and doesn't have the hold up play, but he is already a very good goal scorer but you need more then that to start alongside a guy like Ronaldo (I doubt highly he will get many minutes in meaningful games with Ronaldo in the lineup). Duvan brings a lot to the table, when he isn't scoring goals he offers a lot for a team, look at a guy like Mandzukic who is a nailed on starter for Juve not because of his goals, yet Duvan offers more.

This game was over right away for Atalanta but that's a really nice goal, that's impressive center forward play showing a little bit of everything.
You have to think bigger my friend. Replace one of the sticks with JuanFer once he gets healthy and we can win two Copa Americas and two World Cups.

Sucks for Ospina but we know we can rely on him when the lights go on. Zapata needs all the confidence and rhythm he can get heading into the Copa.
What other goalie do we have Cuadrado and Vargas? Arbolera and Banguera are subs now. Lot of teams are using Colombian goalies but we really don’t have another option other then Ospina
Vargas has looked okay in the very few minutes he has played the last two cycles, but yes Ospina is the only proven choice. And he has played well for us for the most part.
Duvan should be given the benefit of the doubt to start for us in the Copa. He does so damn much for Atalanta, we'd be really stupid not to utilize him to the maximum.
We just have to hope that his club form translates to the National team. We have seen many instances of players from around the world who put up great club numbers but just can't score for their country. Hopefully this summer Duvan can score a bunch of goals if/when given the chance.
Agreed, but I doubt Queiroz will have the balls to sit Falcao, unless they play together and I also doubt that.
