Is probably that by the end of the season.....zapata and bacca became the historic colombian strikers in their leagues.

Bacca will do it iin 3 season.....falcao got the record only in 2.

Zapata will do it in 5 seasons.

He is going to be the Colombian all time scorer in Serie A at this pace as Pepino posted. So his goal scoring does not need to be defended based on that.
He just needs to continue to improve like most players.

Pre-Falcao all Colombian stats are meaningless.

Remember when people were mentioning breaking into the all time stats with like 10 goals.

40 goals in 5 season while not something to shit on isn’t that great. When Falcao even as a zombie has scored 24 so far this season while being injured most the time. A consistent good striker should be getting at least 15 and starting for his club.

Not shitting on Duvan and who came before him but. The 2005 Generation has made us expect more of our guys. Also Duvan has a few more games to hit 15

I think everything should have a proper perspective and context. I don't think anyone expected Duvan to be this good. I was hoping back in 2011 when he helped us win the Sub20 Toulon tournament (mostly coming off the bench) that he could develop but he has exceeded my expectations. And I think he can get better. How much better remains to be seen.

he played the same season as rodallega...that scored 29 in epl...

Ramos is in bundesliga with 45..5 seaoms in half . in 2 division he scored like another 20.....so have good numbrrs

aristi has 110 goals in brasil ( counting estadual tournaments)

We have been very lucky with a very prolific generation of scorers but don’t be surprised if we fall again on dry times after Falcao and Bacca retire.

While not as spectacular as the best strikers numbers, I hope that we find someone who scores at 20 goals per season in a competitive league.

Cucho may be the best hope for that. But he really is not a #9 in my eyes.

You guys are too negative. There might not be coming a true killer like Falcao in the next 10 years but the coach will have wide variety of strikers to choose from.

If he does what he is doing in 2nd divison in 1st then he could be. Tho he needs to go to italy or 1st divison Spain. Don’t think he will work in England or Germany

I don’t know I think Borre can be World Class if he works on his finishing.

I also rate Casseira very highly.

Yeah he has to continue his development, but he doesn't really have much of a weakness so far, he can dribble, pass, finish, he's physically strong and mentally seems strong as well. With any young player there is always going to be steps up they need to make and can stall at, but I think Cucho has some really good signs and his profile will allow him to go into teams and not have to play as a 9 but as a wide forward or support forward. I think next year we see him somewhere, I think Watford would actually be a good spot because he'll get the chance to win a starting spot, Spain or Italy might be a bit more ideal but he is owned by Watford and their current 9 isn't great and they don't really have a set wide forward that owns that spot right now.

Try to tell a Parma fan that Asprilla's stat is meaningless. There was a Colombian football before Falcao and James you know. It's ok that you don't know it but you don't need to cancel it.
