They paid 18 million. His numbers have never been great but his team play must have been. Italian teams are broke so to pay so much by a mid table team means he wasn’t shit. Not like they are a EPL team who can drop 30 million on a no body

He hasn't been scoring a lot lately. He even started on the bench today because of it.

He's still one of our most promising strikers. I wonder if he can gain momentum.

Thought someone posted he was slow that’s why Napoli didn’t play him.... I mean looks more like he won that goal on strength but still super impressive

He’s such a physical specimen. He has also really impressed me in yellow. Can’t see him not going to Russia.

He has to go to Russia, he gives us something that none of our other strikers have with his physicality. We need to have different options for different games and he is a good option to have.

Isn't he a poor mans Jackson Martinez just slower with worst finishing. Not saying this guy isn't talented but if he wants to go to Rusissa he going to need to start scoring in yellow

Start scoring for Colombia? He's played 4 games total for the NT and wasn't a starter in all of those games or playing under ideal conditions. I don't really understand comparing him to Jackson who isn't playing right now, the only comparison is to our current strikers and he is the only one who offers that different dimension and he looked really good playing alongside Falcao occupying defenders and allowing Falcao to drift into dangerous areas. If we are going to play at times with 2 strikers which fits Falcao we need a guy like Duvan who offers a lot more then goals (even though he's scoring at a very good rate for a team that isn't an offensive powerhouse).

Duvan is just getting integrated into the NT and I suspect Pekerman likes what he's doing based on recent playing time, I think he's likely to go to Russia and for good reason, right now I'd go with Falcao/Bacca/Muriel/Duvan and we could add one more possibly because Muriel can play wide as well.

If my memory serves me right Duvan offers what we wish Jackson delivered for the NT. He holds up the defense with has back towards goal and is extremely physical. Even if he doesn’t score much it allows others like Falcao to thrive and not have to depend so much on individual brilliance all the time. Also if we are going to stop calling up strikers that struggle to score in yellow than we wouldn’t be calling up many strikers except Falcao.

Yea but thats what I mean. Didnt seem like Pekerman liked Jackson who had much better finishing and way better at club level. I have been very impressed with both Borja and Zapata actually.

It all comes down to how they play with Falcao. Bacca and Muriel had a while to play with him and they haven't done well.

Yes and Duvan looked really good playing with Falcao, he also was able to move wide and play almost as a winger which opened up space for Falcao and others. Good players with Duvan's profile offer a lot more then just simply goals, they work their ass off to create space and opportunities for their teammates, they also can batter defenders which also plays a role. Duvan's stats and goal scoring this season has been very good overall which makes sense for a guy of his age and his profile, typically goal scoring can be the last skillset that is really honed over a career. It was a shame Jackson never performed for Colombia because he was a beast at club level but it just never came together for him with the NT.

I mean with Stirkers everyone needs to score more because not really new ones available or ones worth mentioning. The kid tearing up Scotland.... that league isn’t as good as the MLS...

    Def going
    Falcao
    Bacca

Need to fight for 1-2 spots
    Zapata
Borja (scoring on China doesn’t count)
    Muriel

    Outside chance
Teo- tho seems like he pissed off James so won’t be called any more
