Just scored a golazo against Juventus. Used his frame to completely shrug off Chiellini.

If you are going to break out of a slump might as well do it against one of the best teams on the planet. :p

Nice header. I say this all the time but I wish he had wings who could cross. We would score so many more goals.

Good hold up play in the area eventually led to their first goal by his Argentine teammate.

There's not too many Colombian's better than him at the moment with their back to goal.
No individual defender is going to push this bulky guy down. He draws a crowd.

Just scored his first goal for Sampdoria. Lovely control bringing down a cross in the area to finish with his left.

Sampdoria won Milan 0-2, Duvan scored the first at the 72nd minute (huge mistake by Cristian Zapata).

He just got confused it wasn’t a NT game :) went for an assist.

Seriously Milan prob should start looking for a new coach for the money they dropped this season they should be playing much better but stupid on their part selling Bacca without buying a proven #9.

I don't think, I do think that Milan fans are idiots. Like they are the only Zapata's in the world or Cristian did it on purpose. Milan is a joke for several years now regardless Zapata.

And it's new players aren't so great as media showed

Since Muriel situation I lost respect with Montella

The announcers on bein said they're cousins, had no idea. Other than the goal Duvan played very well, with his strong hold up play and is very agile for a big man. IMO he needs to be called up over Borja.

They bought Silva who is better then Bacca and Kalinic who has been very good. The coach may be meh, but I would take Silva/Kalinic over Bacca after his performance's last year for Milan and Colombia he was bad. The coach is rotating too much early in the season, that's a mistake especially with so many new players, you need to get people up to speed understanding each other as fast as possible, even with that you can expect bumps in the road, you need continuity and understanding in soccer and when you have so many new face's in key area's its always going to be hard. Zapata also has been pretty bad unfortunately.

Explain me how Silva is or have been better than bacca ?

I doubt that guy in two season scores more than 30 goal scoring like bacca did it

Score goals in Portugal doesn't prove nothing

Montella Is a joke always that face a good coach he loses

First of all he's 21, he also already has 9 goals for the Portugal senior team in 14 appearances, he has 5 goals in 4 starts this season for Milan and he adds more then goals which unfortunately is Bacca's main skillset. He's nowhere near his peak, its a no brainer to get a very good young up and coming striker vs Bacca. No offense to Bacca, but he's been off form and when he's not scoring he's a drag on the squad, and he hasn't been scoring lately. Of course Bacca has been very good and scored at high levels, Silva is 21 and has shown a ton of skills and ability right now I think its close with BAcca, long term its not close that Silva is a better option and better asset.

don't know why/how a Carlos Bacca vs. Andrei Silva comparison is here in the Duvan Zapata thread, but I agree with you @villus

31 year old vs 21 year old

i like Bacca and he had a good run with Milan with 34 goals in 76 games, but a 21-year old striker from Porto (one of the best franchises along with Ajax at taking players to the cusp of being world class) with proven international experience is hard to say no to.

Potential and youth is not equivalent to be a proved striker.............

NT Portugal goals = european national goals and we know who are the opponents. The number of goals of bad strikers in this matches is amazing. (luxemburg, liechtestein, san marino, albania, montenegro, lithuania...)

Silva havent scored in serie a yet..........but to a lot of goals to eastern europe teams in europa league.

    No offense to silva.

Long term??? we dont know if silva is more than a good looking forward that porto decided to sell in 30 millions........Milan with patos, el sharawwy, niang, rabaat should know that a promised young players arent guarantee of long term succesful.

They need a prove striker the next course and a new coach
