It's spiteful love. The evolution of Depay is very disappointing. I remember this match with Manchester United against Bruges where he had demolished the Belgian team. No one can say that Depay has no talent. Nevertheless I watch him play regularly with Lyon, and every time he is the most mediocre player of the attack of this team.

Its all about motivation with him.

Look on the bright side, at least the Tampa Bay Rowdies will have a new winger soon

  6. Did he knock up that model?

  7. That should be a yearly award for submerging talents: The "Freddy Adu Award".
Come to think about it, I'll start a thread on it.

He is incomplete and this is something we've pointed out years ago, when he was still with PSV. He misses 50% of his controls, the way he dribbles is so messy and amateurish. He looks like a futsal player than cannot adapt to real football.

Ha ha....I love it. The Freddy Adu award should go to the biggest flop of each year.

Depay is the clear frontrunner right now

Is there anyone other than me who thinks that Ayoub should be called up to Oranje?
I am sure he is better than Vilhena and Wijnaldum.

    No!!!

Sorry you guys, but we wont have another Bergkamp, Kluivert or Robben for at least another 10 years or so.

Until then, keep it up with the Afellay's, Depay's and Ayoub's.
And please dont stop making me laugh.....LOL :D

Promes with an absolutely amazing performance against Sevilla in the champions league today. Maybe he can express himself more on the NT now with Robben gone. 2 goals and 2 assists and essentially carried his team to one of their best ever wins in Europe.

I really think he's a very good player. Would love to see him with more responsibility for the NT.

Honestly, something I think that might be an interesting thing for the Dutch team to try is this:

Karsdorp - de Vrij - van Dijk - Blind
    Sneijder
    Wijnaldum - Strootman
    Promes - Janssen - Memphis

Our midfielders play very passive with the ball, preferring to pass backward so having our creative options being behind the main midfield line (Sneijder, de Vrij, even Blind and Karsdorp) can allow the team to press, win the ball, and then recycle it to the creative passers while guys like Promes and Memphis can make runs or Janssen can hold up the ball (pretty much all he's good at anymore) when needed.

Midfield needs a complete overhaul. I've supported (and am a fan of) Sneijder, Wijnaldum and Strootman over the years... certainly appreciate their services, unfortunately they are no longer working out and frankly holding back progress.

Why not inject new bloods? I fancy Tony Vilhena, Donny van de Beek, Jorrit Hendrix to be important pieces of the future of the Dutch NT midfield in the near future.
