  1. Well, that's the hallmark of a topscorer, to know when to be where to make the easy goals. He only needs to do it 25 times and then he challenges for the topscorer title.

Right, so now he just needs to do it in ED and the football gods will approve.

I have my doubts though, but I hope I'm proven wrong

Boere was in the Ajax youth system for several years but was not offered a senior contact. That might say something.

  6. They did the same to a player that went to Anderlecht and won the "Gouden schoen" award.:D

If Sneijder is moving to LA FC then his NT career may end soon (e.g. probably the end of this WC qualification) and Robben will be the last man standing. Time for a new era/generation and the backbone of this new team will be Van Dijk, Janssen and Promes.

According to the Daily Express, Manchester United is interested in the recruitment of Marten de Roon.

I would love for this to happen, but unfortunately the Daily Express has zero credibility

  15. A nobody, while Karsdorp is an Orange player and was on the radar of Bayern, ManUnited and Barcelona. Great negotiation skills and transfer management by our board.

Ake is home grown player and Karsdorp isn't plus BPL clubs are completely nuts. Those owners have way too much money and lack vision. Ake is 22 already, haven't played one full season so far in his career. Didn't impress so far, I thought he was average in the Dutch NT. But if those English teams wants to pay that kind of money for average players, let them do that. Can't wait to see those English team to collapse again in Europe next season.

I wonder about Kongolo's position in Monaco. Will he play in central defense knowing that the competition at this post is strong in Monaco with Glick and Jemerson, or will he play on the left side if Benjamin Mendy leaves in Manchester City? If that's the case, he may have a hard time making Mendy forget, who is very good offensively while Kongolo hardly ever gives assists.
In any case, Kongolo is a player with enormous potential. He should be able to make a place and the French championship is an excellent competition, very hard, reinforced by the presence in recent years of competent managers.

English Liverpool fan here, wondering what the view is in the Netherlands of Virgil van Dijk? I see Brundo Martins Indi (25 years old, 34 international appearances) has just moved to Crystal Palace for around £13m, while the talk here is that van Dijk (26 years old, 12 international appearances) will cost around £65-70m.

Is he viewed in the Netherlands as the world class centre back that he's hyped up to be here (and a vastly superior player to Martins Indi) or is this another case of insane English prices? How has he performed for the national team?

I think vDijk is on the verge of becoming world-class, or is already there.

He is certainly the best defender Holland has right now
