Dundee can consider themselves incredibly fortunate which makes their bitter complaints all the more laughable. That said the SFL's idiocy continues. No wonder Scottish football is in such a state.

Would it have been less ridiculous to relegate them a quarter of the way through a season?

Dundee should be forced to put up a bond for their remaining games at the very least.

I'm not too familiar with the way things are done in SPL but how is docking points going to help a team raise revenues? If anything I would think less fans may show up to games as the team is out of the running for top spot.

It will keep the rest of the teams from making the same mistake.

Going into administration can be seen as being an easy way to avoid debts, so this is a strong message to other clubs.

When you STILL have all of the big players you cannot afford playing for you it is hardly surprising and the points 'deduction' was merely a minor inconvenience instead of legitimate punishment, as expected.

Ahh look the bitter livy fan has come from under his rock. Could your support have raised what the Dundee supporters have ?

I notice in you original post you left out the bit about your team had been put in LIQUIDATION proceedings when the SFL put you in the 3rd as not to disrupt the league.

I have discussed Livi at length here. It had nothing to do with the running of the club and everything to do with a crook refusing to hand the club over after he had dipped into the accounts. It was actually the council who started proceeding in an attempt to force him out. We had new owners waiting to take control and they had a bond ready. It was just another example of our prehistoric system of running football in this country and rival clubs looking to eliminate a threat. You will find that Livi fans had nothing but support for Dundee fans (both times) as it has nothing to do with them. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for the rest of Scottish football when it happened to us. Our anger is justifiably directed at the inconsistency, hypocrisy and lack of punishment applied to Dundee.

Of course feel free to try to direct the attention away from the clear point I raised and one that you know full well you have no answer for.

It is fitting that it was ended by an ex-Livi player.

You should be very grateful you were not punished appropriately. As it was you got off easy and continued to exploit the situation by keeping your big earners around and then using trialists. In short, other than ensuring you could not be promoted, it was no punishment at all.
